Everything was beautiful, from the cinematography, acting, and location to the sound inside the film. It's complex, heartwrenching, yet relatable and realistic, with the characters facing life complexities, dilemmas, and struggles. It's everything from self-image, identity, love, differences in social class & opportunities, dreams, family/financial circumstances, etc. A total tearjerker with many details to catch.
The movie isn't straightforward and allows room for you to think, interpret, and judge for yourself, which is very "human" in a way. There were just so many things to rewatch it for! The plot, details, beautiful cinematography, scenic views and acting. -it was an experience watching it on the big screen.

The thing I have not liked most is the story that this man I give almost 40 has with this almost teenage girl history who is really ugly especially because this man who is also a policeman is shown to us as if he were a good man while he is absolutely not so but perhaps for the screenwriter it is so! I didn't like other things there are the many things that happen but you never know if they really happened or not! Another thing that I did not like is the fact that the screenwriter wants to deal with many important and dramatic themes of the Thai society but in reality he never does it because everything is told in a completely superficial way there are many themes at stake but all are only touched the less dramatic film South Korean to compare this is 1000 times more dramatic, I do not know if this is because of the lack of lack of script in writing, they wanted to face too much. Topics, or they did it to leave us throughout the film with this feeling as if something was always missing, however if it were not for what happens between Ann and Tong I would have given 6 but the fact that they want to make us believe that Tong almost forty years old is a good person I just can't accept it as a vote 1.
Oh where do I start! (I'm not very good at reviews but I just finished watching this and I need to speak about it, no matter how nonsensical it may sound hehe) I got home from work and made a late meal so I choose this thinking that the film would be a good way to pass time. I didn't expect to drawn into the character's lives the way I did, and somehow I forgot about my bowl of ramen and was sucked into the storyline. This story reminded me so much of my own childhood, raised in a small community where various hardships forced teens to grow up too quick and take on responsibilities to survive. As it is a coming of age film, it highlights simple things like friendship and creating meaningful bonds onto topics like dealing with self image, a predatory society and battling generational curses. You'll really feel connected to their storyline, even if you didn't have the same experiences. As a viewer this film will have you thinking that Ann and Jane were you and a friend in your past lives. I didn't expect to have so much raw feelings build up to the point of crying while I ran to twitter to post about and then to this website to post this rant! This might be an exaggeration but I'd rate this infinity/10 if I could!
This film captures the beauty and complexity of being human. Despite its heavy tone and the suffocating world it portrays, there is a subtle warmth and quiet hope woven throughout the story. It reminded me that even in difficult environments and less-than-ideal situations, there is still space for kindness, resilience, and dreams. Watching it gave me strength. My life isn't what I once hoped it would be - I'm not where I wanted to end up - but this film made me feel seen. It inspired me to keep trying, to pursue something meaningful, while also learning to accept the present moment as it is. Thank you for creating something so thoughtful and powerful. I truly gained a lot from this experience.

I don't understand why this is labeled a comedy, it's way more emotional than that. Yes, it has lighthearted moments and warm humor woven throughout, but at its core, this is a deeply emotional story about friendship, identity, and the quiet heartbreaks of everyday life. GDH never disappoints. Their films always feel close to real life, and Flat Girls is no exception.
The cast did an amazing job bringing their characters to life. I felt every moments, laughs, tears, and quiet heartbreaks. What I especially loved was how intimate and real the storytelling felt. The pacing is calm, almost meditative at times, allowing the audience to really live with the characters. There are no exaggerated plot twists, no forced drama, just life unfolding with all its awkwardness and beauty. It's this honesty that makes the emotional moments hit so hard.
Without giving away spoilers, I'll just say this, it left me hanging, but in the best way possible. It didn't try to wrap everything up neatly or give us a perfect conclusion. It felt more like life. Open-ended, uncertain, and real. Some viewers might find it frustrating, but I found it honest and even comforting. It left space for the audience to imagine the future of these characters, which made it even more powerful.
Another high-quality, beautiful film from GDH. I loved it.
