What do you get when you take antagonists from two Full Moon franchises and pit them against one another? You have Gingerdead Man vs Evil Bong and it's everything you'd expect it to be.
With many cast members from the Evil Bong series returning we have Eebee taking on the Gingerdead Man, or do we? Do they actually battle? Honestly no, it's more the humans vs both.
Once again the Gingerdead Man without Gary Busey is terrible and the Evil Bongs limitations make for a pretty weak antagonist. So here we have more stoner comedy, Full Moon charm and about as much intelligence as an episode of Cougar Town (2009).
It's dumb, it's stupid, it's face palm inducing but it's certainly not the worst one.
I'd say essential viewing for fans of the franchise(s) but for Joe Average this is one to be hopped skipped and jumped over.
The Good:
Recurring cast
Nods to other Full Moon movies
The Bad:
Mindy Robinson
Too much footage from the previous films
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
Glittery gasmasks are the future of cannabis usage

The first thing to ask yourself when thinking about watching a movie titled Gingerdead Man Vs. Evil Bong is this: Are you able to switch off your brain and embrace some mildly entertaining, low budget lunacy from the good folks at Full Moon? The titular characters from the Gingerdead Man and Evil Bong series meet in a movie which should, at the very least, satisfy fans of either franchise. The film might service the Evil Bong series slightly more, but there's enough foul mouthed dough-boy Gingerdead man to go around. Larnell is the only one of the stoner quad to return along with Rabbitt, the friend/foil of the series. Larnell and his height-challenged head-shop employee String find themselves in the path of destruction when Gingerdead man decides to take out Sarah Leigh (from the original Gingerdead Man) once and for all! It ain't high art, folk. But if you're in the market for something light and stupid from Full Moon, have at 'er. And at least it isn't as awful as Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys.

Released in 2013 after the third Evil Bong film and after the conclusion of the third and final Gingerdead Man film.
After watching the entire series of both franchises, can see how this fits in place. It may not be on the same level of the original Evil Bong films, though it's close enough. It is certainly better than the last few Bong films and the Gingerdead Man films.
The plot isn't exactly deep or original. It's basic, simple yet effective. John Patrick Jordan as Larnell is at his best when he's the lead of the franchise, with Rabbit as the co-lead. Robin Sydney portraying both her characters of Luann and Sarah (mostly Sarah from the Gingerdead Man series) works. Eebee and the Gingerdead Man have some highlights.
This film would more likely be enjoyed by fans of the both franchises, and may be off putting for those who aren't exactly familiar with either franchise.

Sure, it's barely March the first, but dear God was this terrible. I mean, just WOW! First of all, you get these annoying flashbacks from both movies, like a complete slap in the face to all the fans out there, and then they try the shortest, most idiotic crossover I've ever laid eyes on.
I rated it 2! Long time since I've done it, but it was all a complete amateur waste of time, money and some actors. Horrible, dreadful, it is just so hard to fully explain it to you. Maybe, just maybe, if you are like HUGE die-hard fan of both series, and still I hold my doubts, there aren't enough "maybes" in the world, but, maybe you can accept this without crying your eyes out.
Sad case where words can't begin to describe this mess. Stay away. Pretend it does not exist. Don't poke it, don't look at it, don't even say its name. Go elsewhere. Watch Freddy vs Jason!

I've seen all the other Full Moon offerings of Evil Bong and Gingerdead man and so when I say this is a cheap waste of time know it is as a fan of these types of cheesy schlock movies.
The main problem is that so much of the runtime is taken up by flashbacks and exposition, there is barely any actual new interactions with the characters you might care about.
It is all tease and no substance and it is a letdown since they could have gone all out in a mess of schlock, but instead it is the tamest and lamest of the bunch. Disappointing.

Gingerdead Man vs Evil Bong (2013) is available for free on Tubi and tells the tale of our favorite Gingerdead Man still on the warpath against Sarah for trapping him in the Gingerbread Man. The Gingerdead Man partners with the Evil Bong after she promises to turn him back into a man; meanwhile, Sarah partners with Larnell in hopes of stopping the two killers. This movie is directed by Charles Band (Puppetmaster) and stars John Patrick Jordan (Mad Men), Robin Sydney (The Gingerdead Man), Sonny Carl Davis (Thelma & Louise) and Peter Donald Badalamenti (Bad Boys II). The storyline for this matches the two movies up well together and the two sets of characters naturally match up well together also. The comedic content is consistent with the other pictures in both series (not quiet as good as some of the other films but the content is identical). There isn't really any worthwhile kill scenes to reference. The movie is fun if you're a fan of the series but not particularly good outside of that. I'd give this a 3/10.

GINGERDEAD MAN VS. EVIL BONG is, it has to be said, a disappointing team-up between the two Full Moon franchises. The problem with this one is that the budget is lower than ever and it's all talk in a single set for the most part. The two series villains aren't even enemies, not really, so don't expect any kind of big showdown or anything. For the most part this is made up of the usual quirky, drug-infused comedy, with the novelty of the main actress playing dual roles (which comes from her playing different characters in each series). Some of the humour's not bad and the cast are certainly game for a laugh, but I was expecting a little more from this one.

This movie changed my life forever 10/10 best piece of entertainment since Shakespeare I originally found a this masterpiece after my 94 hour shift working 3.4 miles below sea level as a welder I quit my jop immediately after my first watch and haven't stop watching this immaculate film since, it's been 5 years. I have watched this masterpiece 21,915 times and watching for my 21,916th time right now I have recommended this to everyone I know and they say that it is the best most emotional, inspiring, and beautiful film they've ever seen. I highly recommend seeing this movie it has literally changed my life.

What can I say, some days you wake up and start your day like every other but for some reason this one day your life is changed forever for no apparent reason. That was my life today, after my first viewing of Gingerdead man vs Evil Bong the only thing my body was capable of doing was gasping in disbelief that something so masterful could have been created by humanity. Not only is this one of the greatest acting performances of all time it has maybe one of the single most thoughtout, lore dense, creative universes in cinema history. All I can say is, thank you for your lasting impact on cinema.
