Die Disney-Story - Wie eine Maus Geschichte schrieb

Stick to the people who lived the experience we don't need reanacted scenes unless they're animated. It was groovy that Universal Studios show directors were in this though. Michael Aiello Had been one of my favorite parts about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal studios. Every year I cannot wait until I get to walk through those haunted houses. This review space is ridiculous so I'm just going to talk about the Boulder Film Festival in Boulder Colorado. Every year they put on such a great show I think everyone would have a great time. Each year they bring in a different actor to accept an award and I love seeing them talk.

Like all the Built America series this one delves into how Disney took shape and the different iconic elements that helped position it to become the Disney most of us knew growing up.

The casting of Walt is different than the Walt Disney many of us were introduced to as children when he would introduce us to fantastical movies and characters to get us in a mindset to enter the world he created for us.

You will see many of the traits of past Built Americas giving you frames of reference for what was actually going on behind the scenes of a particular idea.

Even though the current state of Disney has been destroyed by political ideology and elements children should not be introduced to, this is still a great way to remember better days when it was actually fit to be watched by children and make you nostalgic for those magical times.

Most Disney fans will find very little new information in these episodes, but they are entertaining and interesting.

Unfortunately, the role of Walt was terribly miscast. He's portrayed almost as a male version of Tinker Bell, happy and go lucky one second, then pouty and tantrums the next. Not even close to what we known of Walt Disney.

This series is like the rest of the History Channels "__ Built America" series- a lot of overacting and deep mime reactions on very simple sets, along with many of the same talking heads from all the other series. There are some Disney experts, but they are not utilized enough.

Walt Disney was not left-handed and while he did use a grease pencil, it was red not black. Walt often seems smug and condescending in this series and quite often grins at others as if they're idiots. Walt and Roy seldom disagree on anything while in real life they disagreed on many things. Often scenes are very dark and hard to see. Many of the re-enactments use actors who do not resemble the character they portray in the slightest way. The documentary bounces all over the place...it might be 1936 and then suddenly it's 1954. Very confusing to viewers. Not bad overall but not very accurate either.

How Disney Built America is a series about how Walt Disney and his company had impacted America. It's a good series but no way what we have in all 6 episodes is everything. Obviously there's way more to Walt's life that impacted modern society and Disney continued to impact the world even after Walt's death, like the reign of Bob Iger and him acquiring other companies (Pixar, Marvel Studios, Fox, and Lucasfilm). Best if we have future seasons showing more of how Disney's later films impacted the film industry even after Walt's death (with that, referring to Disney the company not Disney the person. For that, the title is How Disney Built America not How Walt Disney Built America). With that, episodes could discuss the different eras. The golden era, wartime era, silver era, bronze era, dark ages, the renaissance, experimental era, and the revival era (though it could be argued we're in a new one now with the setbacks of disney in more recent years). Each era could impact the company in their own way and even the world as well. The acquisitions Disney made also impacted the world in one way or another. Best if we see future episodes of the series detailing that.
