Longtime fan of Jimmy Tatro & Christian Pierce and love the Real Bros of Simi Valley series - this was funny, and it was great seeing the characters again... but it felt like an extended episode of just another season of the show... in movie form instead of episodic form... and as such, it didn't really rise to the level you'd expect from a movie.
Revisiting the Hawk ages fast and Wade doesn't burn gags was great - but they leaned a bit too heavily on that.
Also, the enjoyable part about the show was the over the top exaggerated "simi bro" lingo/attitude/acting - but it seemed overplayed in the movie as compared to the series. Like it went past the point of "funny over exaggeration" where the laugh came from you going "wow, but I know people just like this" to the point where it's like a parody of an over-exaggeration that is so outlandish that it's less funny.
Not sure if that makes sense, but basically things are funnier when writers/actors aren't telegraphing "this is silly so you're supposed to laugh"... like Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers, hilarious... Will Ferrell & John C. Reilly in that Sherlock Holmes movie... painfully unfunny.
I hope we get another season of the show - and hopefully somebody like Netflix will pick it up. Because in bite-sized doses... this show is a 8.5-9/10 but in movie form with no breaks, after this many years of the jokes, it's a bit stale.
And for the record, Wade totally doesn't burn.

I'll start by saying that you probably will want to see the show before seeing the movie, but it's not a must. Much of the humor is new content, but the running gags like Hawk rapidly aging, Wade not burning and guys pretending to have done all the work on their own trucks but only having installed new subs, etc. Won't be as funny if you're not clued in on the context. They do the "Previously on Real Bros" cold open that gives some context but you'll still feel a bit left in the dark at times. All three seasons are free on Jimmy's YouTube channel, by the way.
Jimmy, Wade, Nick and Tanner are still absolutely hilarious in their roles, as are most of the girls. (especially Lexy omg) I was sad that Pete Davdison and Victoria Justice didn't make returns, but there are a ton of celebrity appearances that make up for it. The story itself is pretty fascinating and the characters get into some really goofy situations. The social commentary is epic also. I'm still shocked at how entertaining and hilarious this was, and I'm already itching for new content from these guys. A proper 4th season would be great but a sequel to this movie would work also.

So funny. They all kill it in their characters. The best parody of SoCal personalities I've ever seen. Passive aggressive, trucks, tacos, business opportunities, etc...it's sick dude. I'm gonna say a bunch of characters so that this computer thing lets me go and get back to crushin silver bullets and Outback Steakhouse dawg and I don't even need it to do it lol and I'm just trying my ooooooooo best I have is to go back in my truck lol but it's just not working right for the reason so why I keep it on me I guess it's a little more of the problem but I'm gonna keep going on my car to make a lot lol but am I at 60 characters yet dawg?

I never thought that watching a TV series I watched years ago could make me this happy. I loved every nonsense and every drama. I'm glad the reunion movie was made. It was 10/10. I realised that my eyes were filled with tears when the credits came.
Is it normal that I got really sad and cried in the last scene of Hawk and Bryce?
Even though I really love all the characters, Bryce will always be number one in my heart.
Btw, I'm very upset that Johnny wasn't in the intro, but so happy that the new season was promised. The new season should come immediately. I don't want this for myself, I want this for Johnny...

I shouldn't have doubted the boys but I was nervous at the fact that it was going from an episode format to a movie and wow, did this exceed my expectations. Everything was done so well. For it being a movie, it still felt like watching the classic Simi episodes. Even after it being so long, it felt like it picked up right where we left off. All of the homies made appearances, the puns were still hilarious, the writing was phenomenal. I can't say enough good things about this project. Please make more Simi content! Jimmy, Christian, I AM BEGGING PLEASE MAKE MORE EPISODES! We need a new intro for Johnny.

I'm slightly biased because I'm a big fan of the series and all the people involved in the making of this...
I'll start by saying I'm slightly disappointed that this couldn't be an actual 4th season but the effort that went into this movie was appreciated. Tons of cameos and funny throughout the surprising runtime. I'm really hoping the hype for this franchise builds and builds because I really think they could continue bringing the laughs. The movie was shot super well and feels like a REAL comedy, as opposed to a lot of the Hollywood "comedies" that seem way too watered down/have agendas and checklists... I was a little disappointed some of my favorite characters (Aldis) didn't get a lot of screen time but I understand the movie needed to cut some fat.
It's actually weird, I think Jimmy Tatro has been involved in some of the funniest projects I've seen in the last 10 years. From 22 Jump Street to American Vandal and The Machine, this guy along with Christian Pierce have such an amazing lens when it comes to sketch comedy and now film. Even if Real Bros comes to an end, I can't wait to see what they have in mind down the road.
Bryce, Duncan and Wade are so so so funny in this series... Anything those guys say is funny. The girls in this movie are also bringing a lot of laughs and I just think overall this ensemble is the current funniest in entertainment right now. I can't think of any other ensembles who are bringing this much entertainment to the table right now. Please spread the good word of this movie to your friends, because it needs to be shared. Every time I watch Real Bros I start to riff and get silly like the characters and I feel like what Tatro and the cast do is contagious.

My review is coming, strictly from the heart. I discovered the show through a meme from a friend who reposted a story on Instagram and boy am I so grateful. I never thought I would have so many laughs in my car during my lunch hour. Good times. The best part is I live in Idaho and many Californians have come to move here (an exodus of which I have no problem with); needless to say, any Californian who crosses my path immediately gets introduced to the Real Bros whether they want to or not. It is like a gospel I try to share with the world. Some people think it's a fake show - some people believe it's real. I tell neither the truth.
This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in recent memory. It's not easy to make a good comedy these days and Jimmy Tatro / Christian Pierce have nailed it with their spoof on reality television. All of the characters compliment each other very well and it's the type of humor that might not be for everyone, but it's perfect for the modern age / anyone who is familiar with their past humor on YouTube and the internet. Seeing the evolution from the tv show into the movie was seamless and I only hope they have more ideas to bring everyone back for another movie or season. Thank you Jimmy and Christian for shining a light on the gift that keeps giving: Bros.
This movie swings 1000 times and hits about 900. They literally find a way to put a joke or a laugh in like every 5 seconds of this movie. Also after you watch this movie you'll want to watch savages. If you own a pt cruiser this movie is a must watch. The only part that was missing was Vitoria justice. She would have made the movie better. But Bryce as always was the funniest character. Wade also had a surprising amount of laughs. Molly had alot to do this time around so did Johnny which was a good change of pace. Duncan was really funny in the movie as well. There really wasn't a weak point in this movie at all. Just laughs from start to finnish.

This movie was everything and more. The movie was like several Simi episodes mashed into one in the best way possible. They stuck to the show and didn't stray. The humor, the drama, the plot, i mean everything was giving. Great movie! If you loved the show, you'll love the movie! They kept in some of the running gags, there were cameos from other characters, there were plot twists, there were new characters.
I would definitely recommend watching the series before you watch the movie. They just recently uploaded them all to youtube! If you watch the series, you'll catch the running gags, the iconic jokes, and the references. Did not disappoint. My hat goes to Jimmy and Christian, great job!

The real Bros of Simi Valley is hilarious. I live in Southern California, and it was spot on. I was actually dealing with an injury when I watched it and it was the only thing that could make me laugh and smile when I was in pain. The southern california accents, the names of the characters, the general vibe of the movie is great. Hadn't heard of it before I saw it on the Roku "free" section. I'm so glad I came across this. I'm now watching their series. I hope they make more, Jimmy Tatro is genius level comedy.
Definitely the funniest thing I've seen in a long time, it really took me by surprise.

The Real Bros of Simi Valley is the best movie ever because it perfectly captures the absurdity of modern bro culture with hilarious precision. Its sharp satire, unforgettable catchphrases, and over-the-top characters offer a unique blend of comedy and commentary. The dialogue is quotable, the plot is delightfully ridiculous, and the chemistry between characters feels authentic. This movie that knows exactly what it is and embraces the chaos. No other film delivers laughs, vibes, and muscle tank energy quite like this one. Total bro masterpiece. Cody Ko makes the movie even better with his greatness.
