30 years after the events of Shadow Fist a new warrior seeks find and wield The Immortal Scroll of The Shadow Fist. This time Sister Moon, a disciple of a venerated lineage of respected masters, along with her brother Lu Chen, is on the hunt. As they travel along to the undisclosed location, the two discuss what it means to be worthy of wielding the item. Meanwhile, the nefarious Chi Sha Gang has other plans for the scroll. The evil Master Deng wants it for himself and sends his gang to intercept the pair and retrieve it for himself& by any means necessary. Who will possess the Immortal Scroll of The Shadow Fist? And who is worthy to wield it?

Visionary Martial Arts Action Filmmakers, Robert Samuels and Robert Jefferson of R4 Films, are back with their internationally award-winning short film, "Shadow Fist 3", and this time they've brought martial arts action veteran, Ron Hall, with them.

For the last 50 years, Martial arts action movies have been a cultural mainstay of the Black American experience. Low-budget action films made in Hong Kong, took hold of African American audiences in the 70's when they connected with the themes embedded in the culturally infused stories.

Names like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Jet Li became part of the Black lexicon. Its influence has permeated the culture, producing everything from the Wu-Tang clan, Afro Samurai, The Last Dragon, and the 70's mega-hit "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting.

The genre had probably influenced no three African Americans more than martial arts action filmmakers, Robert Samuels, Robert Jefferson, and Ron Hall. Hall, a native of Washington, DC, and Samuels who is from Philadelphia, met in Hong Kong pursuing their dreams, forming an enduring brotherhood lasting for over three decades. Since the early 90's, they have traversed the action film landscape, working as actors, stuntmen, fight choreographers, and filmmakers. Jefferson, also a Philadelphia native is a graduate of NYU film school also has worked for 20 plus years in the action film business alongside the Hong Kong veterans. Each has a focused commitment toward raising the African American profile in the genre that its audience loves so much. " Black people love martial arts movies, and Hollywood needs to be educated that there is a commercially viable audience that is underserved." says Hall.

The two filmmakers have joined forces, collaborating, along with Ron Hall, in what has resulted in an exciting and innovative, award-winning tribute to Hong Kong martial arts cinema and its heroes. "Shadow Fist 3" was produced and directed by Samuels & Jefferson, starring the always formidable Hall, as its lethal main antagonist. Adding to the mix is a diverse cast, featuring Latina protagonist and rising star, Roxalinda Vasquez. The film was shot on location in Mexico, and was also written by R4 Film's Robert Jefferson.

Samuels & Jefferson's "Shadow's Fist 3" honors and celebrates the legacy of the beloved Shaw Brothers films and Hong Kong cinema while reaching towards the future, paving the way for a new generation of fans to enjoy old thrills presented in a new way, accented by an African American perspective, serving as an exciting preview for what other projects the visionary filmmakers have on the horizon.
