My relationship with documentaries can be described as a rare encounter. Like most of us, I am lacking in patience. I want something good, exciting, and that makes me feel very happy/sad/scared during the two hours I watch it. But sometimes I come across something with greater value that I want to share with the world.

The documentary "The Case of Engineer Ursu" is evidence that a communist regime cannot be dismantled solely by removing its dictator. The roots of communism still persist in many state institutions in Romania today, perpetuated through the transmission of positions from one generation to another and through other forms of nepotism. This reality is most evident in the political sphere. We are confronted with the same figures, with the same morally corrupt values, under different appearances and names. In contrast, we can see how far a single individual can go through perseverance and sacrifice. A sacrifice that has been made by many others as well, so that our generation can experience comfort and, sometimes, apathy. Essentially, I'm posting this because the documentary deserves to be seen. It represents a mirror of the past and a vehement warning against repeating those times.
