The Amazing Race Canada

As the title says, season 09 is right on trend.

The contestants, consisting of the demographics you would expect this year, yes, those ones, heavily outnumbering all others assuring a most certain win.

I turned off episode 01 precisely at 2 minutes and 39 seconds for this simple fact. Its supposed to be a game show, but instead what we're given is a big smack of agenda driven deviancy right in the face.

What once was a fun little family show has now turned into nothing more than blatant propaganda. The entire franchise and powers that be behind it should be ashamed and embarrassed of themselves for this disgusting display of deviancy.

RIP Amazing race.

I was very much looking forward to the return of the Amazing Race Canada, after a two-year (COVID-induced) hiatus. Sadly, I was disappointed with the opening episode and only made it halfway through the second before turning it off.

While product placement and cast selection was at times questionable in previous seasons, this year has hit a new low in the over-the-top placement of advertising. The contestants this year were picked from a list that would appeal to the producers (ie. Sponsors) target demographic, with none of the engaging and offbeat characters of previous years.

So sorry to see this great show fall so far, so quickly.

From memorizing multilingual speeches to digging for clams in the mud, each task showcases the contestants' determination and ability to adapt. While competitive tensions can sometimes reveal less flattering sides of the cast members, the show ultimately emphasizes positivity, learning, and growth. What sets this edition apart is its focus on Canada's stunning landscapes and diversity. For fans, it's more than just a competition or a series of games-it's an opportunity to explore Canada from their living rooms while cheering on contestants as they navigate physical, mental, and emotional challenges. With exciting moments, relatable stories, and breathtaking scenery from Canada, The Amazing Race Canada remains a must-watch celebration of what it means to be Canadian!

If I were #jillianmaclaughlin I would be so embarrassed. The absurdity of her screaming constantly at Emmet is disgusting. Whining and acting like a 5 year old. It almost made the season unbearable to watch. Thankfully most of the other teams were great.

TARC is your typical reality show of desperate people or NOT actors running around the world for a dollar. The Camera man always seems to be able to keep up without a problem. 1 to 3 seasons should have been enough.

Running around the world with their heads cut off is boring.

What can be learned? Geography Verdict: No one should call this entertainment.
