Revealed last month, Strange Scaffold and newly-formed indie fund Outersloth’s bizarre story-driven title Clickolding is out now on Steam with a limited-time 10% discount until July 30. The one-sitting storytelling title also has a bite-sized launch trailer that’s equally as bizarre as the game itself.
Clickolding takes place in a hotel room, tasking players with thumbing a tally counter at the whims of the potentially dangerous masked host in the corner of their room. If you leave, you don’t get the money, and you can’t come back. If you stay, you’ll unravel a distressing story, one click at a time.
Witness a thoughtfully uncomfortable and shifting atmosphere come to life in the noir-tinged environment. Clicking, solving environmental conversation puzzles, and navigating a tenuous and uncertain relationship are the subtle ingredients that make Clickolding more than just a suggestive pun. It’s all accompanied by a weird jazz...

Martial arts movies are often enhanced by the inclusion of a tournament, raising the stakes and adding to the viewing experience. The quality of martial arts movies can vary greatly, but many of the better ones benefit from the tournament factor. The inclusion of a tournament in martial arts movies is a frequent and popular trope that continues to captivate audiences.
One thing that makes nearly any martial arts movie better is the inclusion of a tournament. With competitive achievement on the line, the stakes are raised, and the hope that a protagonist can emerge victorious further contributes to the viewing experience. That idea applies whether it's karate, kickboxing, Thai boxing, mixed martial arts, or an event that allows any style.
Martial arts movies can also vary wildly in terms of quality. They can range from cheesy train wrecks with lousy acting and little or no plot to inspiring, atmospheric masterpieces with excellent performances.

Marvel's Phase 4 and 5 have introduced powerful new heroes, and one of the strongest Avengers might be lurking off-screen in Ms. Marvel. Evidence suggests that the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl might have had a voice cameo in Ms. Marvel through the podcast This Powered Life. While there is no official confirmation, Squirrel Girl's upbeat demeanor and her ability to stop iconic villains make her a perfect candidate to appear in Ms. Marvel Season 2.
Marvel has introduced several powerful new heroes in the MCU Phase 4 and 5, but Ms. Marvel may have secretly introduced one of the strongest Avengers yet. From Captain Marvel to Thor, the McU's Infinity Saga brought an impressive group of heroes together to stop Thanos from ultimately succeeding in his plan to wipe out - and keep wiped out - half of all life in the universe. However, as Kang rises as the McU's new premiere threat, Marvel has upped the power of its heroes,...

Disney and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, starring Paul Rudd, fell to third place at China’s theatrical box office in its second weekend on local screens, earning just $7 million. Hong Kong courtroom thriller A Guilty Conscience, meanwhile, topped the charts with an $8.5 million opening, according to box office tracker Artisan Gateway. And sci-fi blockbuster The Wandering Earth 2, which has been in cinemas since China’s Lunar New Year holiday over a month ago, climbed back into second place with an $7.4 million haul, lifting its total to $568 million.
Chinese viewers have rewarded Ant-Man 3 with strong social scores — 8.8 on Maoyan, 8.7 at Alibaba’s Taopiaopiao and 6.1 on Douban — but its earnings are coming in far below the first two titles in the franchise. After nine days in release, Ant-Man 3 had earned $31.4 million. Maoyan currently projects the film to finish with a total of around $40 million. The original...

“Guilt” is written and co-directed by Hong Kong filmmakers Lai Siu Kwan, Sze Pak Lam and Yongtai Liu, making their feature-filmmaking debut. Ace Hong Kong director Dante Lam has begun work on “The Rescue,” which is set to be the biggest-budget Chinese film made this year. The $90 million action-adventure picture has already claimed a coveted Chinese New Year release slot in 2020.
Lam was recently responsible for two of mainland China’s highest-grossing films: “Operation Mekong” and last year’s “Operation Red Sea,” which raked in a combined $750 million in their target home market. Both were drenched in blood and Chinese patriotism, which failed to connect with audiences overseas.
For the long-gestating “Rescue,” Lam – whose track record includes upscale Hong Kong thrillers “The Viral Factor” and “The Stool Pigeon,” as well as sports dramas “Unbeatable” and “To the Fore” – has changed direction again. “There are no guns or martial-arts things,” he told Variety. “‘The Rescue’ is focused on courage, which I show through action. This has the energy of song and dance, or...
