Two level crossing keepers, Yannis, a conscientious attendant who never strays far from his post, and taciturn Antonis, a laid-back recluse in tune with the serenity of the landscape, manually lower the bars to ensure the safety of the rare passers-by. Amid the quiet allure of nature, their days blend into a seamless rhythm, disturbed only by the occasional announcement of an incoming train crackling through the speaker.
