Korean Drama '' The Escape of the Seven : War for Survival '' is a thiller-melodrama.

The drama has a strong start, hooking the viewer with its frustrating plot and the truly evil main leads who will stop at nothing in order to satisfy their egoistic needs.

And yet, in the second half, things got too ridiculous, even for a melodrama. And it also got boring, as it lost its sense of purpose, and changed its story all together, but without a satisfying result.

Also, the use of technology was eye rolling and only there to cover up twists that either backfired or were too out of hand to handle.

The performances, finally, were enjoyable and just right for the genre.

So, overall, five out of ten.

It is not recommended for those of you who don't like scenes of violence and oppression as well as excessive revenge, don't watch this drama. Because the drama genre "makjang" is like this, the storyline drains emotions and makes the audience feel annoyed because the victim or righteous person in this drama will continue to be evil and treated badly by a group of selfish, greedy people who do everything they can to be at the top, making money is all about power and demeaning other people, especially committing cruel acts against anyone for one's own desires. Honestly, I also felt bored with the storyline at the beginning but I was also curious about what the continuation of this drama would be like, whether seven people with evil hearts would get revenge or not. I was still waiting for that episode.

I used to like the drama as was expecting sense of justice in the end. The drama was brutal that it felt like the writer and producer were having a good laugh in front of my face as I felt helpless and stressed while watching it because I'm just a viewer that invested time following and watching this s...d plot twist. Pure evil. I can't feel the justice and making me feel like it's just normal in the real world. Every action and decisions of the characters as the series progress, were becoming more and more st.p.d and BS. Also, these characters shouldn't be converted or put into the other side of spectrum, whatever effort they put into, should remain unlikable due to their decisions and actions from the earlier episode.

I'm still looking forward for a good ending that will embody and promote goodness and fairness.

THERE IS ALSO MANY SPECIAL APPEARANCE IN THIS SHOW AND I LOVE IT. 17 hours of people screaming and crying. It's shock drama with no substance whatsoever. The show is so incredibly shallow it's hard to even describe. You are guaranteed every ~30 seconds someone is going to have a mental breakdown, scream hysterically, start crying, commit child abuse, or just generally collapse from too much drama. The plot is absolutely ridiculous and feels more like a random event generator. People will come out of nowhere to reveal some huge drama event and then everyone overreacts, repeat x1000. Watching this feels more like a punishment than something you would actually sit down and enjoy.

I was really intrigued by the concept of the series, the first four episodes have been so good that I have been wondering how the rest of it is gonna go, right from the first episode, this drama already sets the stakes so high. You really cannot stop watching and already want to see what will happen in the next episode, I kinda wish I was binging this instead cause waiting a week for the next two episodes is mentally draining, you literally cannot guess what will happen next.

Whilst it is similar to the usual backbiting and manipulating concepts in Kdrama, this takes a whole new fresh look on things and puts things more into perspective. You can understand why each character's motive and actions, they are all driven by greed and selfishness. This is a really great drama, I am highly anticipating the rest of it.

Today i completed the escape of seven, starting 4 episodes was great after that it's so much laggy and lengthy series I have ever watched, I was utterly disappointed with the ending of the series i don't want to wait for 2nd season that I don't need to because of the lagginess of this series,there is one particular reason why I hate this series the reason is justice for bang da mi couldn't get justice in these season because they unnecessary to add junk like show good sides of all 6 characters I'm sad why did I watch these series it's, my opinion I don't want hurt anyone feelings have good day and bye😞

I often watch Korean dramas that are overly dramatic and cheesy, but this show is on a whole different level. It's way more over-the-top and cheesy, you know what I mean, it's shallow in so many ways. Every main character in this show needs to get their heads checked. Just a visit to a psychologist would solve all their problems. Everyone is so hot-tempered and angry, just like a bad soap opera plot where every character is either unrealistically good or ridiculously evil. There's no in-between. And you know, it's super annoying when people think they're being kind-hearted when really, they're just being plain stupid instead of being a 'kind-hearted person.'

The first three episodes have you believing this will end in justice for who we thought was the main character or at least a plausibly infuriating stifling of justice that was inevitable. However, by episode two you'll be quite annoyed and irritated by the tantrums and meltdowns. Like another reviewer said, no conversations, just arguments.

In reality, you get completely unrealistic twists and an inconsistent story line. I quit at episode 6. I don't need to waste any more hours of my extremely finite life.

Was this really supposed to be so drama filled that every 10 minutes offered a new crisis or molehill turned mountain? There wasn't even a great reason for certain characters to accept the bullying/abuse. The series glosses over major issues that could have been turned realistic. The "7" were all connected in the laziest way.

Save yourself. It didn't have to be predictable, but it should have at least been creatively logical.

It didn't take much for me to drop this garbage show. Three of the 5 characters scream at the top of their lungs in the course of conversation, violently lose their tempers within seconds and basically act psychotic. I don't recognize a single cast member, which shouldn't matter, but it appears no one with any sense got involved in this disaster.

I have dropped a show after one episode but I gave up on this in the MIDDLE of the first episode. I was done 37 minutes into a 1.5 hour episode.

I absolutely don't care what happens from this moment forward. The plot appears to be about 7 people who attempt to escape from an island filled with, you guessed it, psychotic, violent people. Let them have at it.

PURE GARBAGE. I saw the first episode and it made me hate every single character. Do show makers do it on purpose? Ot make every character detestable? A lot of yelling, screaming, cunning behaviour. I wasted 45 mins watching the episode and I hate every single aspect of this show. There is no good music, no good characters, no story. If the first episode doesn't draw you in, why would anyone continue watching this garbage? Koreon shows are actually pretty good but their quality has disappeared. The stories are pretty predictable. Not a singles show in 2023 that I liked except for taxi driver season 2. Everything else was mediocre at best. I hated the penthouse and the same makers bring that flavour into this show and it sucked really bad.
