Potluck ladies is a very positive show with a compelling storyline and beautiful characters. The show draws you in with endearing women who are striving for a better life for their families in a foreign land. They all relate to one another and form a bond of friendship as they adopt to the realities of marriage, visas, work and family expectation's. Etc. The show does a wonderful job of keeping things real and relatable and does not follow the path stereotyping characters. It cleverly brings out challenges of families dealing with conflicting value systems, freedom and long distance relationships. The acting, dialogues and execution is spot on. All in all a very enjoyable show.... only complaint is it is very short so you are left wanting for more...looking forward to season 2.

Amazing show, with a great story line.
Always a pleasure to see south Asian representation. A must watch!! Loved to see the perspectives from the different characters and a fully diverse cast. An easy watch, can easily sit through the whole season in one sitting. Really excited to see what's in store for season 2 due to the cliffhanger that the show was left on! Special call out to Sumaira (Natasha Krishnan) for her acting and really taking on the persona of the character. Nice to see themes that aren't usually talked about openly in the south Asian community, such as divorce, a woman's challenges with her body, etc.

Potluck ladies!
Such a visual treat. Loved watching the show with the beautiful characters unfold. The performances felt very authentic and relatable as you reflect on your own experiences as a new immigrant. I loved the simple joys and friendships displayed through the female lead cast.
I love that the show promoted local talent right from the direction and screenplay to the actors who all put their best foot forward. The music score was also great.
I'd love to see more of the show as we unpack the lives of the lead characters and unique perspectives through their stories, especially their triumphs in the face of harships. The strenght of community and friendships is amazingly portrayed in the show.

"Potluck Ladies" is a heartwarming series that centers around a diverse group of women who bond over their love of cooking and community. It portrays the social economic topics that are not openly discussed in South Asian society. Each episode depicts personal stories, and the dynamics of friendship. The show's strength lies in its authentic portrayal of different cultures and the genuine bonding among the cast. While some storylines may feel predictable, the overall charm and warmth make it a comforting watch. Perfect for anyone seeking a feel-good series.
Would recommend for easy Sunday binge !

There is so much to say about this gorgeous series and beautiful ensemble cast. It is refreshing to see such powerful stories shared from the lens of women and particularly as they relate to the immigrant experience. This is one of the the best examples of this genre of narrative since the original "Joy Luck Club" written by Amy Tan. As a standalone 4-episode series, the arc of the story has a build with depth that leaves a viewer completely satisfied at its conclusion. Though the individual back stories of each of the Potluck Ladies are so rich that I hope there are more seasons. Show creator, and producer Shazia Javed is a tour de force and her economy with words, sharply honed scripts, character development and sense of story has left this viewer wanting to see what else is up her sleeve. Congratulations to this whole production!
