This was awful. They cast an Asian woman who spends the entire film trying to sound Black and it's offensive, awkward, and embarrassing. The exaggerated accent, the forced slang, and the caricatured mannerisms are cringe-worthy and inauthentic. It reminds me of Awkwafina, another culture vulture who mimics Black culture without respect or talent. On top of that, the acting is over-the-top and unconvincing, with the same recycled, overhyped people in yet another terrible movie. At least the camera looks good for Tubi. But fake temu clothes & smuggled tariff hair have nothing to do with storylines and bad acting.

If I could get my time back from watching this, I would. Don't waste yours. The writing is also terrible. They tried but it just didn't connect. People seem to think that shouting and mugging for the camera equals "good acting," but it's not. The dialogue feels like it was written by a disconnected team with zero depth, like you can tell more than one person wrote it. I hate that. I'm glad it was on Tubi. I would be mad if I wasted my money.

Music was nice all throughout. Colors, clothes, and jewelry, always good with a solid plot and story they really drove home. Usually don't see movies like this. I really appreciated how fleshed out every single character is in the movie. It's interesting but also scary watching while it's like, wish nobody treated anyone dirty. It's sick how there are predators/creeps out here and if we had a society that would actively do justice/hold those who do serious wrong accountable, folks wouldn't be brought to the brink deciding they need to handle it themselves. Not saying gotta do it like that tho.
