The overall cast delivered convincing performances. The character Borhan, played by Nas-T, came across as somewhat average and less striking compared to the others, although his acting still played a vital role in the story. The focus on the five main characters was well-executed, with each given a clear and meaningful role in the narrative.
The plot, while somewhat predictable in parts, managed to retain its appeal. The storyline was structured and cohesive, allowing the audience to remain engaged despite anticipating some of the twists. Still, there were a few plot holes and some editing choices that felt a bit off.
The action sequences, however, felt slightly excessive, with three distinct battle phases that bordered on repetitive. The second battle, in particular, began to feel tiring, but~ though the final act slowed its pacing just enough to allow viewers to re-engage and enjoy the conclusion.
From a technical standpoint, the CGI was not particularly polished, but it wasn't overly distracting, as it appeared in less significant scenes. The product placement-particularly of the Wanda brand-felt somewhat excessive, appearing in three scenes and slightly pulling focus away from the story.
As a popcorn movie, especially for fans of local action films or those familiar with the "Lelaki Kluang," this is definitely one to watch. It deserves an 8/10 for being entertaining, satisfying, and even amusing at times. However, from a more critical cinematic perspective, the film scores closer to a 6/10, as its visual storytelling lacks the depth and refinement needed to truly stand out-especially for new audiences.
Still, it's a film worth watching and stands out among many current local productions.

Some people out there really expect the Keluang Man live action to be exactly the same as the original cartoon same tone, same style, same everything. Like bro... it's a live action, not a frame-by-frame remake. You can't just copy-paste cartoon logic into real life and expect it to work.
The original was meant to be fun, a bit wacky, and exaggerated. That works for animation. But once you bring it into live action, you've got to adjust the tone - make it more grounded, more cinematic. If not, it'll just look cringe or cheap. So expecting it to feel exactly like the cartoon? Not realistic lah.
I get that people have nostalgia, but the director isn't making this just for old fans. He's trying to reintroduce Keluang Man to a new generation with a style that actually fits modern storytelling. So instead of whining that "it's not like the original," maybe try appreciating the new direction first.
Also the CGI. Yeah, I won't lie, some parts definitely need work. Certain scenes looked rough and not fully polished. If they want that serious, realistic vibe, the visual effects need to match. Right now, it's halfway there, but still feels like early draft level in some spots.
But even with that, I give credit to Anwari. He dared to do something new with a local hero, and that's not easy. Just hope for the next one, they really level up the effects and keep pushing that bold.

I went into Keluang Man hoping for a fresh, local take on the superhero genre - what I got was 2 hours of awkward comedy, wooden acting, and a storyline so weak it practically unraveled before the opening credits were over.
Let's start with the comedy: not funny. The jokes were stale, poorly timed, and often dragged on way past the punchline - assuming there was one. Most of the humor felt like it was written for a different decade (and not in a good way).
The lead actor's performance was a major letdown. His delivery was flat, emotional scenes felt forced, and action sequences lacked conviction. It honestly felt like he was cast for name recognition, not acting chops.
And then there's the plot - or rather, the lack of one. The story stumbles from one underdeveloped scene to another with no clear direction. Character motivations are unclear, subplots go nowhere, and nothing meaningful is at stake. By the halfway point, I was just waiting for it to end.
If you're a fan of the original series, avoid this. It doesn't capture the spirit, the wit, or the charm of the animated Keluang Man. If you're just a casual viewer looking for a good time - this isn't it either.
In short, this movie is a complete waste of time.

I'm not afraid to say I love this movie, the only thing lackluster was it's action, which honestly with the comedy and pure gold it was, it wasn't that noticable.
The acting was obvious and tailored for the theme of the movie, who cares if it's flat or unemotional, the movie clearly intends to be a comedy.
The comedy is what got we, I'm smiling like a fool throughout the whole thing, I'm not going to spoil much, but it's a delight to watch this, truly the best movie I've watched thus far this year, and the Easter eggs from high counsil was very nice.
Honestly looking forward to whatever pasal productions had in the future, both their high council series and kahar movie are my favourite media from malaysian studios, I absolutely love this movie as well.

Before watching Keluangman: Wonda coffee is pretty cool, sponsoring local superhero movie
After watching Keluangman:
I won't buy Wonda coffee ever again, shameless glorified ad of a movie
The editing is amateur like an intern editing a YouTube video in 2009, Unfunny joke got milked to the bone on multiple scenes action too zoomed in barely comprehend what happen sudden break into a musical number or comedy for no reason other than "haha random please laugh"
The tone is all over the place, it sabotages itself whenever possible. Makes worst mcu movie's writing looks like a masterpiece
No consistency nor cohesion whatsoever
which sucks as Keluangman and Inspector Shahab is a delight to see on screen and the base idea they had looks solid and have foundation
the movie relies heavily on audience lack of attention and braincell to be somewhat digestable, it feels like a massive inside joke where the actually insane ones/punchline are the audience watching the movie
Theres no reason this movie has to be over 2 hours long. I want my rm 23 back.

As a Gen Z who never watched the original Keluang Man series, I went into the movie with zero expectations-and came out absolutely blown away.
This movie is hilarious AF. Like seriously, I haven't laughed this much in a local film in a long time. The comedy was on point, the timing was brilliant, and the way the characters were written? ICONIC. The jokes landed hard, and the cast really delivered. It didn't feel forced or cringey-it was genuinely funny, in a very Malaysian way that totally works for this generation too.
I honestly feel so proud watching it. You don't need nostalgia to enjoy this. Even without knowing the OG storyline, the movie stands strong on its own. It's entertaining, well-paced, and full of charm.
And let's be real-most of the people who are out here criticizing the movie? Yeah, they probably haven't even watched it. It's easy to hate from the sidelines, but once you actually watch it, you'll get why people are loving it.
So from a Gen Z who's new to the Keluang Man legacy: this movie is an absolute banger. Go watch it and laugh your heart out.

Grew up with Keluang Man, and this movie is far from doing justice to the original. I saw the other reviewers giving good reviews and questioned the angles in which I was looking at after watching this movie. But then, i reckoned that me as an audience have the right to not discount any feelings towards this movie.
The only good thing that i would like to highlight is the acting by Remy Ishak and Rosyam Nor which i think was what carried the movie. But the rest is just straight up clunky, not funny, stale and forced acting, bad CGI(the start of the movie onwards). Too much wanda coffee ad that i would think took a portion of the movie which could been better used for character development. Choice of main her cast is very questionable. They could have just used Ajak Shiro or jep or even sharul shiro. Even Remy Ishak was a better fit main cast.
All in all, don't waste your 2hrs 17mins of your time. And your money on the movie. Rather just wait for a possible netflix release. The director has good amount of responsibility in this movie. And it felt alot more like a cash grab rather than trying to make a good movie. I question if there was even multiple unbiased audits or reviews of the final editted film before the release. I very much doubt so. After watching This movie, it makes antman and the wasp movie seem like a grand masterpiece.
Best, An honest disappointed reviewer.

In my opinion, the movie is worth 7.5, but I have given it a bonus of 0.5 more due to the nostalgic references.
I watched this movie in a cinema alone, but I genuinely believe it is worth watching with your children or family members.
The story is simple yet possesses good ideas, and the implementation is commendable. However, the third act could have been better and more impactful. The relationship between the characters and the audience could have been strengthened with a more satisfying ending. I hope that in the sequel, they can eliminate some of the excessive elements while adding a touch of greater seriousness.
Given that Keluang Man is a mental patient, the overall tone of the movie should not be taken too seriously, unlike DC or MCU films. Nevertheless, it could be improved.
The visual and audio aspects are undoubtedly exceptional and stand out. The fighting scenes could be enhanced by employing more angles and choreography in future installments. It is advisable to avoid excessive CGI to enhance the viewing experience.
The actors are all exceptional and perform exceptionally well. While the jokes may be clichéd for critical thinking viewers, they are, in fact, quite humorous and realistic.
Overall, this movie offers an enjoyable and entertaining journey. I highly recommend it.

As a long-time fan of the original Keluang Man, I had high hopes for this 2025 reboot - but sadly, this film is a complete mess. What was once a quirky, charming local hero has now been turned into a soulless, CGI-heavy cash grab that lacks both identity and heart.
The storyline is all over the place, filled with unnecessary subplots, cringe-worthy dialogue, and a confused tone that can't decide if it wants to be serious or satirical. The iconic character of Keluang Man is reduced to a generic vigilante with none of the wit, warmth, or uniqueness that made him special in the first place.
The acting feels wooden, the villain is forgettable, and don't even get me started on the forced attempts at modern "bodoh" avant garde themes - it felt pandering rather than purposeful. Even the action scenes, which should have been the film's saving grace, are over-edited and lack any real excitement or coherence.
This movie is a huge missed opportunity to reintroduce Keluang Man to a new generation with pride. Instead, it just proves that some classics should be left alone.
Avoid it - and rewatch the original cartoon series instead.

Consider this movie was pretty good but somewhat little bad. But not much only for some certain Scene that don't fit or not on point. Stepping into the world of Keluang Man I was immediately transported back to the vibrant childhood days. But Since This Movie Was Set To New Era So I think Its pretty Decent. And This movie is a delightful. Funny and to the beloved Malaysian comic character, blending nostalgia with a fresh, lively energy that keeps viewers engaged from start to finish. Tone is light-hearted yet infused with moments of earnestness, making the movie accessible to audiences of all ages. And plus With Some Cameo That Are kinda Worth it and somewhat good. The film's score and soundtrack are lively and memorable, enhancing the emotional beats and action sequences alike. Special effects and editing work seamlessly, making the superhero escapades feel exciting yet grounded. Of course, as with any film, there are moments where pacing could be tighter, and some jokes may feel a tad predictable like Deadpool. Well maybe little. However, these minor flaws are easily overshadowed by the film's genuine warmth and charm.
So In Conclusion. It was Pretty good Movie. I'm rating this movie a good solid 8/10. Kinda Well deserved for our superhero Keluang Man by NAS-T.

I have watched this movie twice and i truly enjoyed watching this film mainly because of the storyline, jokes and choices of song. Though I'm not a big fan of action movies I felt the action is of top tier and people behind this film are brilliant and talented. I wish there will be a sequel for this movie as I want to watch a real life girlfriend of Borhan and also Tiong his sidekicks. I am a 90's kids of course I have watched the Keluang Man cartoon hence I'm able to appreciate the skits in the movie. To me I adored Keluang man due to it is genuine and it has Malaysian essence where respect, love and family bonds play important role in our culture. He fits the criteria of a Malaysian hero, a strong, funny and sweet guy.what i learned from this film is to move forward, acceptance and finding our true self are the essential components.

This is an underrated film that deserves more recognition. It's light and entertaining, but what makes it special is the strong sense of nostalgia it brings-especially for those who grew up in the 80s and 90s. It really takes you back to your childhood, when local heroes like Keluang Man were a big part of our lives. Don't expect explosive, high-budget fight scenes like in typical Hollywood superhero films. This isn't about that. It's about heart, humor, and Malaysian charm. That said, the fight scenes that are included are still impressive and well done. A refreshing local superhero film that stands out.

Honestly, reading all those 3/10 reviews really affected my desire to watch Kluang Man. The excitement was gone. I had zero intention of watching it.
But today, I ended up watching it anyway. Just checked for fun-Ejen Ali was fully booked all the way till night. Kluang Man? The seats were mostly empty.
So I watched it with very low expectations, thanks to all the harsh reviews out there. People were really bashing it-like, hardcore bashing. So many of them.
But when I walked into Hall 8 at TGV Cheras Selatan, I was surprised. Quite a number of people inside. I figured they were probably walk-ins who came to watch Ejen Ali, but it was full. Earlier I saw a mother and her kids disappointed that Ejen Ali was sold out. Maybe that's why they just went for Kluang Man instead.
Okay, here's my personal review.
Right from the start-I was laughing out loud! Genuinely funny. And it's not the same kind of humor as Cicakman.
The cinematography? Solid! The storyline had plot twists. Scene-to-scene transitions were well done.
I won't say more-don't want to spoil anything.
But if just a couple of things were improved, I'd easily give it a 10/10.
Right now, I'd rate it 8/10.
Borhan's character adaptation was really well done. Naz, the lead actor, absolutely nailed it! I can't even imagine if they'd gone with Jep (because a lot of fans wanted Jep). I don't think it would have landed. Maybe just more slapstick laughs. But Naz really studied the character-he delivered Borhan and Kluang Man perfectly.
Was it 100% faithful to the original Kluang Man cartoon? No. Not at all. Different storyline, though loosely based on the cartoon. But the plot is completely new.
How did Borhan become Kluang Man? Haha... for me, that was one of the best parts. The way the screenwriter presented it-brilliant!
But if they had improved these two things, I would've given it a 10/10:
1. The moment when Borhan gets the idea to make the suit-they should have played the original Kluang Man theme song, but slowed down with emotional build-up. That would've given serious goosebumps. Instead, they used a different motivational track. Not quite enough to hit emotionally. Such a missed opportunity.
2. The fight scenes were generally great. But there was one scene that dragged a bit and felt a little too silly. If they had tightened that up-wow, it would've gone to the next level. Again, a shame.
These two moments-such a pity. Otherwise, it would've been truly memorable.
So for those who were influenced by the bad reviews-don't believe them just yet.
I feel like there's a group deliberately trying to tank the movie's reputation. It's really not as bad as people are saying! Maybe they're die-hard fans of Jep Sepahtu who were disappointed he wasn't cast. But come on-they did casting, Naz went for it, and he got it. Just respect that. Hehe.
It's worth watching-funny, good storyline, great cinematography, and a decent emotional balance too.
Of course, no film is perfect.
Give our local superhero Kluang Man a shot to have a sequel. It's nothing like Cicakman with over-the-top CGI. But the story? So much better... not to mention compared to Badang. Haha.

Everything I ever imagined about Keluang Man came to life in this movie. He's wild, unpredictable, and at times downright crazy - just like he should be. But when things get serious, don't even think about challenging him. Many might mistake him for Batman, but make no mistake - this isn't Gotham, and he's no Bruce Wayne. This is Keluang Man, and this is his world.
Nas T was born to play Keluang Man. He delivers the role with intensity, humour, and a hint of madness that fits perfectly. The patients in Hospital Tumpoi - abg Butak, Wahid, Azlee - each added their own chaotic charm. They weren't just comic relief; they were central to the soul of the story. Maria and Mariana stepped in as solid support, grounding the chaos when needed.
The lesser-known actors who played Dr. Malini and Inspector Sahab carried their roles surprisingly well, holding their own among a colourful cast. And the music? Perfectly curated. Every song hit the right note, enhancing each scene's emotion and energy.
Most importantly - Kita Enjoy! This isn't a film you overthink. Let go, let your mind wander, and let Keluang Man pull you deep into Borhan's world. A world where madness isn't the absence of sense, but a different kind of truth.

Good cast, good storyline, just few touchup needed but very minor. I can watch this again for 2nd time. Director is very creative and imaginative to brings out the Borhan character into real life. Very good sense of humour delivered in this movie and a good set. Nas-T is very on-point to deliver as Borhan, and supporting lines are almost close to the cartoon. Movie set is international and hope can be more improve in the next sequence to make the cartoon set to become real. Maybe can invest more on the CGI to get more similar as per cartooooon. Overall 8/10 for me! Cant wait for the sequel hehe.
The plot, for me, was okay. There were metaphors, elements of tariqat (spiritual path), and interpretations that vary depending on the individual. It's quite deep. Maybe for those who weren't born in the 80s or 90s, it might be a bit hard to grasp the humor and nostalgia.
There will definitely be comparisons with Deadpool or Avengers, but this is Malaysia version. Keluang Man originally was a Malaysian cartoon show for kids, so naturally, it holds nostalgic value for those who grew up in that era. Even though the storyline differs from the cartoon version, the movie is actually more interesting.
I adore the CGI,what fell short for me was just the cat. Everything else was actually okay. Of course, you can't compare it with Marvel, the budget is a whole different league. For Malaysia production, Keluang Man is considered great, especially with how it represented Malaysia's multiracial society.
They really did their best to bring in elements like Malay Silat, Malaysia love for 90s Bollywood, and true Malay characteristics, even the hero clearly has strong Javanese Malay features, not mixed.
As usual, many people like to compare it to Marvel's level, which is crazy considering the massive difference in budget. Just because the cat failed, people immediately assumed all the CGI was bad. If the cat wasn't there, I think overall the CGI would've looked much better.
Of course, there are some flaws here and there. That's normal. Overall, I liked it. It was enjoyable to watch, especially the fight scenes for audiences who may not fully grasp the philosophy behind the plot.
