Exclusive: Stoked Sports & Entertainment has struck an exclusive deal for the life rights of NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, with plans to develop A Giant Amongst Men, a multi-platform media project that will include a narrative feature, a limited series, and a documentary.

A Giant Amongst Men will delve into the meteoric rise, formidable legacy, and personal challenges of one of football’s most electrifying and controversial figures. Development is underway across all three formats, with announcements on talent attachments anticipated in the coming months.

Exec producers on the projects include Blake Leon (Titans) and actor-producer Curran Walters (American Gigolo) for Bel Productions, along with Jarnell Stokes, Aisha Corpas Wynn, Beth Fryman Poulin, Sean Mik’ael Butler, and Patrick Strøm for Stoked Sports & Entertainment.

The story centers around two successful women, sick and tired of dating and relationships, who decide to keep two young men in their pool house for strictly sexual purposes. During the ensuing months, however, the couples become closer and begin to develop romantic feelings.

Exclusive: Stoked Bros Media, the company co-founded by former NBA player Jarnell Stokes, has ironed out a deal with Germany-based Orwo for the latter to co-produce, co-finance and handle the post-production and international sales for a slate of three Stoked projects over the next six months.

Jon Wysocki, original drummer of Staind, has died at the age of 53.

According to Blabbermouth, prior to his passing Wysocki had been suffering from liver issues that required him to be under medical care. Wysocki’s death was confirmed on social media by his current and former bandmates.

Wysocki was a member of Staind between 1995 and 2011, playing drums on their first seven albums. The hard rock band achieved three consecutive No. 1 albums with 2001’s Break the Cycle, 2003’s 14 Shades of Grey, and 2005’s Chapter V. They also top the US Rock singles chart with songs like “It’s Been Awhile,” “So Far Away,” and “Right Here.”

Wysocki departed Staind in 2011, which he cited was partially due to becoming uncomfortable with certain aspects of fame. He later performed in bands including Soil and Lydia’s Castle.
