Let me put this right out there from the very start. This movie sucks. It sucks from a technical aspect, from a story aspect, from a art aspect. So why do I say A for effort? It's because it's still impressive and shows what AI can do.

This is a movie that has no actors. All the faces and voices are AI generated. It tells the story of a man who discovers his high school bully is on the same plane. Cue the drama.

This movie takes place entirely in the uncanny valley. That's the place where images are so... wrong but not enough to put your finger on why they're wrong. It's just a visceral feeling you get. It's repulsive because faces don't move like that. Mouths don't move like that. And people don't speak like that.

This movie is disturbing on a deep level. To which the creator says to close your eyes and listen to it as a radio play. But that's the next problem. The dialogue sucks. Nobody speaks like a real person. It's just generative predictive text. Maybe the filmmaker wrote some of the dialogue but if he did, he can't write dialogue either.

Watch it as an oddity. Watch it as something that we might be seeing more of in the future. But don't tell me it's good when it's horrifying.
