The film brings you into an extended Moroccan Jewish family via seven festive meals to celebrate the wedding of an estranged sister. Each dinner reveals a bit more of the secrets and lies that burdened the bride throughout her life , threatens her new marriage and tears apart the siblings. Highly recommended. Each character is both flawed and appealing, and there's enough substance to explain the heartache each feels. Your sympathy and disdain will move around the various dinner tables and change directions. Ultimately the viewer must decide right from wrong versus the gray areas of life and love, not an easy task.
