Rescue: HI-Surf

Story is ok kind of slow. But the action sequences are top tier with the camera angels. Seems like a modern day bay watch for this generation if of tv viewers with the similar drama. Hopefully the branching stories don't get stale in the long run. Hawaii is a great choice since the north shore is one of the most dangerous beaches in the e tire world to surf. Knowing fox they will axe this show after one season since modern television shows now these days don't last no more than a season of all platforms of streaming and cable TV networks. But overall it's a good popcorn on your couch type of television fun.

Beautiful scenery- beaches to die for and a lot of eye candy- yet I'm invested in Sonny the Captain and his story and pain. So not all fluff. Story lines are interesting and relatable.

The rescues are nail biting at times and the stories seem to depict actual life on the island. It's not all roses and puppies.

It did take a couple of episodes to hook me but I am. If you give it a go you'll get hooked too!!

If not for the stories then at least for the beauty that is Hawaii and her oceans.

Please CW please don't cancel it! I get hooked on your innovative shows and then wham!! They're gone.

Going to disagree with the other reviewers... the characters are likeable, the action is exciting, the show is visually stunning, and I feel like I've taken a beach vacation after watching an episode... this show has its place and I hope it gains a following!!

The attention to detail in the set design, the underwater camera work, and the way it seems like these actors actually learned the jet skiing and rescue swimming... other shows can have their award-winning acting and dialogue (really enjoying The Old Man right now for that kind of thing)... this is still a roaring good time.

Let's hope the 9-11 lead-in buys it some time and viewership... looking forward to every episode.

Filmed against the stunning backdrop of Hawaii, the series benefits immensely from its picturesque setting, which adds a vibrant visual appeal. The secondary cast is where the show shines, featuring well-cast actors who bring authenticity and energy to their roles, making the supporting storylines engaging.

Currently, "Rescue: HI-Surf" sits in a middling territory - it's enjoyable enough if you stumble upon it, but not compelling enough to ensure weekly viewership. To elevate from a one-season wonder to a long-running series, significant changes are necessary. Replacing the lead actress with someone who can add more charisma and depth to Emily, along with sharpening the writing to include stronger, more dynamic storylines, could turn this show into a must-watch. Without these changes, "Rescue: HI-Surf" risks being just another fleeting entry in the TV landscape.

I love this show. The action and the storyline, especially the realistic rescues. I read they are based on real rescues. The emotional side of the rescuers personal life adds more intrigue. I hope they continue to make more episodes. The s scenery if beautiful and enjoyable to watch The actors are great and blend well together .

I am repeating that I love and enjoy this show.

You can tell the actors have to keep in good shape in order to keep up with the show. I have even more appreciation and in awe of the lifeguards who risk their lives every day to save the lives of people they don't. Have.
