Renegade Immortal isn't your typical cultivation story. It's a deep, emotional, and often tragic tale of a boy who's thrown into the cruel world of immortals. What makes this series stand out is its philosophical tone, the realistic emotional development of the protagonist, and the sheer brutality of the world he lives in.

Wang Lin isn't a hero. He's a survivor. His journey is painful, his decisions are heavy, and his growth is raw. This show explores loneliness, sacrifice, power, and fate in ways few others dare to.

No better series to write my first review for, than this one😁. The main character is morally grey, though done very well by the author. His anti-heroism all stems from the dog eat dog environment that he was born in. Don't worry though it's not all dark and gloomy😂, as there certainly is beauty in this world, both literally and metaphorically. This series has interesting philosophies, thus making the conversation meaningful. The characters are well thought out and even though it starts a bit slow, once the story kicks into full gear, it's an enjoyable ride😁. Every episode leaves you with interesting cliffhangers, especially if you're watching weekly😅.

Renegade Immortal, a masterpiece written by Er Gen, is one of the greatest web novels of all time. A perfect blend of action, fantasy, romance, philosophy, and plot twists. This is a very good adaptation that's faithful to the novel and also rich in visuals, soundtracks, and storytelling. I'm a newbie to donghua, but the first episode is enough to make me a huge fan of Chinese animation. I highly recommend this one to absolutely everyone. The MC is morally gray and not a hero at all... but he is well-developed. Even those who aren't fans of anti-heroes and villainous main characters should give it a try.
