"Fashion isn't about how chubby or slim you are, fashion is about celebrating yourself " this is the main concept of this film. This is a very unique concept in bengali cinema. I don't think so, there has been a movie about this kind of thing before.

Director Aritra Mukherjee's Direction is awesome. There will be no talk about the story of the movie, in one word it is great. Applicable dialogues have been put in this movie. The biggest thing is, the quarrel between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law was not shown unnecessarily.

There are some songs in the movie. These are very good. Nice to hear and see. Background music are also good.

Let's talk about acting, Ritabhari Chakraborty (Fullora Bhaduri), Abir Chatterjee (Bachoshpoti Bhaduri), Swastika Dutta (The Biki Sen), Soma Banerjee (Bachoshpoti's Mother), Raktim Samanta (Bachoshpoti's Brother) are the main characters in this movie. They portray their own characters very well. Separately applauded to Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee. Also other casts are there in the movie. They are very good.

It's a clever approach too because the film's message weaves in ideas of body neutrality; instead of telling women how they should feel about their bodies, the film basically says they are much more than their bodily flaws or beauties.

Ritabhari Chakraborty plays Phullara, a plus-sized seamstress-turned-influencer from a small town who with the help of her brother-in-law starts a body-positive social media page. A very well executed global issue of obesity and over weighted people . In short I should say it is a masterpiece.

I have just seen this movie. Now,i just wanna give my honest opinion about this .. Abir Chatterjee as usual very natural in his character of Bachaspati..@ritabharipc as phullora must be appreciated..she justifies phullora so well. Rest of the characters of this film match the vives and tempo..swastika as Biki Sen attracts peoples attention. Director Aritra Mukherjee deserves a wow..Windows as a production house done a great job. So,the story of a middle class girl who is fat but live her life by her own choice. It is a story that tells us how we do our daily chores but never leave our dreams #fatafati.

Director Aritra Mukherjee done a great job. Ritabhari and off course Abir Chatterjee acted so well. Rest of the casts have done their work superbly.. The name 'FATAFATI' really justifies. This movie shows the real truth of the so called society. Now a days body shaming gives such a negative impact on the society. We should thing about this. Not only good look matters.. Quality matters more than it. This movie emphasizes this fact. A simple middle class married woman, despite of every hurdles in her life, keep going on to fulfill her dream. This movie touches my heart. We are not mediocre. We are best. I just loved it. I have given my review and rating. Now it's your turn.

Love Bikki Sen. I don't know why but I found her to be very relatable. I have a neighbour, who is always gossiping about what others wear, what they eat, what their body weight is, what their public conduct is like and how all these should ideally be and passes on all the information to her circle. So, all these women are always body shaming the rest of the neighbourhood. I have been under their scanner several times and no matter how much I detest them or want to raise my voice, something in me has barred me from doing that. Fatafati is an answer to the Bikki Sens of the world. I hope all these aunties watch the film and realise what a mess they have been to us. Performance wise too, Swastika Dutta as Bikki Sen has been quite a revelation. She has broken image to do this and hats off!

She lives next door to Biki Sen (Swastika Dutta), a fashion and wellness influencer who never misses a chance to size-shame her. Phullara's husband Bachaspati (Abir Chatterjee) is smitten with her, her mum-law is not problematic in any real way and she has a supportive peer group. Very little gets in her way in the first half, (except maybe Biki and a fatphobic autowallah), which makes for a sleepy first hour. But we recommend not leaving midway because turns out the makers saved most of the drama for the second half.

This film is one of the most entertaining movies that I have ever seen. Start to finish the movie is thoroughly enjoyable. The script was surprisingly good and music was amazing, the editing and cinematography was top-notch. But above all, both Abir and Ritabhari are mondblowing! Both have embodied the characters so well and played every shades of the character brilliantly, with perfection. Such an well thought out and executed cinema. Hope the film reaches out to the largest audience possible. The film deserves lot of appreciation and love from the audience. The message that is given in this film is so strong and relatable. I am an avid fashion lover. And I religiously follow the fashion trends across the globe, keeping an eye on whatever is happening everywhere. And I loved it when Fullora Bhaduri discarded the use of heels right at the end of the film. Earlier the the heel controversy at Festival de Cannes sparked a serious conversation about the shoes women wear and their reasons for wearing them on the red carpet. Heels may look great but it also hurts women and to not be allowed to wear comfort shoes in public is a big issue. Hollywood actors have raised their voice against the trend of wearing heels on the red carpet and here, in an Indian film, the same has been shown. I felt very proud as an audience member that the conversation has been taken forward. And yes, heels are no longer 'essentials of a fashion show'. True that.

My biggest takeaway from the film is the romance between Phullora and Bachospoti Bhaduri, played by Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee. Their daily exchanges were so real, particularly where they talk over the phone about the distribution of the monthly income; there was nothing forced. They looked every bit in love, enjoying the conjugal bliss, where having little money is not a problem anymore. No one was singing or dancing around trees unnecessarily. There was no forced humour, below the belt jokes, talking lowly about marriage, as it is not a slapstick comedy. It tugged at the heartstrings and also, I saw the audience laughing and crying with Bikki Sen (Swastika Dutta), Behula, Gogol, Arunadi, Seema boudi and the rest. People outside Star Theatre, where I watched the film, were screaming the film's now-famous tagline: 'Amra mota hote pari kintu amader jibonta motamuti noy, fatafati'. What a beautiful story it is!

Fullora's journey has inspired me a great deal. As a teenager, I would be called fat and ugly. My cousins would laugh at me, my schoolmates would discriminate me when it came to sports and never giving me a chance to take part. I tried everything from routine exercises and stringent diets, surviving only on cucumber and yogurt for days on end, which changed my relationship with food. Food would bring me a lot of fear, which was terrible. Now, 35 kilos down, I am all of 62 Kg. But only I know what I have been through half my life. When I saw Fullora accepting herself and taking on the world to prove her mettle, I was a bit sad. I could never muster the courage to give it back to the offenders, I would only secretly cry. The whole idea is to accept yourself the way you are. I hope I had done that.

At a time when cheating in marriages is shown as the obvious in films and also web series, Fatafati talks about a middle-class world oozing with affection and love, tucked away in a few kilometers away from the big city. There's enough love to keep a family going, even when a financial crisis looms large. Some of the characters are couched in daily comforts, while there are a few like Fullora Bhaduri and Rinku, who want to test the unknown waters. Even when they set out to prove their worth, their love for their near and dear ones happens to be the driving force. I think it is the middle-class values that we have grown up with makes Fatafati different from the films made today --- soul-less and definitely not their heart at the right places. I have seen the film with my entire family and came home loving them a lot more.

Lots n lots of good wishes and a great thanks to the entire team of Fatafati for presenting such a stupendous film in the tollywood industry.... Really loved it.......and enjoyed every bit of the film..... Khub e notun dhoroner and sobh dik thekei ekta perfect film......it's a great one.....and spreads a lot of deep messages to the society.... Life is about ups and downs, and the vicissitudes make life worth living. So when Phullora was dragged into the daily tussles between fat and thin, I was not worried. I knew she would shine like a new diamond at the end and that is what she has done. A movie with a strong message on body positivity, I have seen people laugh and cry with joy as they became a part of the lead character's journey in Fatafati. And in the end, as expected, Phullora goes on to win hearts. I am so moved by her tale that I want to watch the film again. I want to say, not all is lost, ever. So, when life throws challenges at you, don't get bogged down, just wait for the right opportunity and you will shine and shine. That's the message I carried back home. I am ready to take on the world.

Really Nice movie..I have seen it 2times already...perfect for all ages...from script writing to song to acting everything was perfect & relatable......This film again showed that Bengali film is not placed lesser than other films.......rather This film is really FATAFATI, 'an energy booster' for all ages, all person. It's also inspiring, full of emotion , every feelings was present in this film .. Loved to watch it ......I will suggest all to go & watch this film......it's really an unique film. The message conveyed here is great! This positivity is absolutely necessarry for today's generation❤❤💯💯

Fatafati promotes itself as a film with a social message that deals with body shaming...... And the social message that is given in this film is very very relatable...... It is amusing and at the same time it is inspiring..... the performance by all the lead characters of the film is excellent! Both Ritabhari and Abir have acted brilliantly in this movie..... It is shot well in a picturesque Bengal town. ....The cinematography as well as the music of the film is beautiful!....this is a film with a lot of positivity and this kind of positivity is needed for today's generation....it is high time we stop beig judgemental!....love the idea promoted by the film- we are not so so, we are just too good!

This type of film should be encoraged. One can relate to the film easily. I will suggest all of ypu to go to Your nearby theatre and watch the film with your family . You will really enjoy it. Watched this movie today, really portrays the real picture in today's world were fat girls are looked down upon, with the world running behind 0 figure and everyone is a rat race to look as skinny as possible this movie takes the brave move to go against these stereotypes, Awesome performance by Ritabori and Abir both shared a very good on screen chemistry, beautiful songs, Hats off to Shiboprasad and Nandita for making such a movie, they always keep surprising is with a different and Unique concept with their movies, their every is best and I really enjoy watching their movies. Kudos to the entire team.
