Ghostline

Of course this film was supposed to be serious but it was not really. A couple decide to move to La in the hopes of starting their acting careers again without secureing a job there first. Despite this they seem to have money to keep going out and drinking most points in this film. Bassically the spirit of a girl calls the house and thinks taylor is her ex boyfriend eric he is not as he keeps saying but she does not listen. Him and girlfriend chelsea have to get to the bottom of this with the help of two very unconvincing detectives. Not great acting. This film is not very scary but I do appreciate the song at the start that matched this film so that was nice.

Ghostline is a badly acted, ridiculously scripted, badly & cheaply made, almost laughable movie......were no tech "experts" consulted to inform the makers that phone calls are not delivered through electrical wiring??.....check out the "extracted heart" sequence for the special effects quality....it explains it all.... I don't like to speak ill of the dead but...did the director know only ONE transition between scenes???....the fade out???(there's probably 30+ fade-outs in the movie!!!)....whatever the (so-called) expert reviewers above were watching was not the Ghostline I watched....or maybe they have shares in the production company?!?!?...the ending??? = the SCARIEST part of the movie because it implies there may be a sequel!! As bad a movie as I've ever seen....finished in 2013, still unreleased??...I don't think even the DVD production companies want to try it out!!! 3/10.

Do like horror, have never had any bias against it regardless of how some of my reviews come across (although it is always made very clear of that being the case), and do have a thing for halfway decent concepts (often one of my main reasons for watching something). Something that the concept for 'Ghostline' was, although it also could have gone either way in execution. Either it could have been spooky, or it could have been ridiculous.

'Ghostline', when it appeared in my more like this section, turned out to belong in the latter category. As well as being cheap and dull, don't think unintentional humour as something positive watching film, television etc. Everything a horror film should preferably not be. Worse films exist and there are far bigger wastes of potential, but 'Ghostline' is one of those films where very little works.

Actually consider it very much to be nearly at beyond redemption level, but an eerie setting elevates things a little, sadly though not by much.

That is wasted though by photography that looks cheap and is very limited and repetitive in techniques used. The lighting can be too dim and the sound is intrusive and obvious. There is very little momentum in the direction, which more often than not plods badly and fails completely in building any suspense. The script is awkward, characterless and full of unintentional humour.

Very little story here in 'Ghostline' as well. What there is very dull, very predictable, insultingly far-fetched and completely lacking in suspense or sense. Felt absolutely nothing for the characters, other than annoyance, there is no sense of fun or jeopardy and the acting is worse than what you find at kindergarten.

Overall, could have been mildly interesting but near-ineptly executed. 2/10

What a horrible watch. I can't believe I decided to give this one a try. My fault.

This wasn't supposed to be a comedy. It was slow and boring in places. The entity looked over the top, and cliche daft, with copying from other films. It was just rubbish. The characters and acting was extremely wooden.
