This has gone from a charming , feel good, lovely romantic comedy, to feeling annoying and forced. Perhaps some shows should take the win after one season and leave us on a high note. I think the title is appropriate at this point, Nobody Wants This! I hope this is the last season because the writing is terrible. The charm is gone and Joanne has gone from quirky to unbearable. Please put this show out of its misery.

This show is intoxicating. The script is funny, witty, and warm. The main characters have great chemistry and all the side characters all add their own appreciated flavor.
Kristen Bell is one of those actresses that makes the best choices for what she participates with and takes on, and this is no exception. This is a story that makes you want to be apart of their world. Adam Brody's character is like Seth but 20 years later- grown up, mature, and still charmingly funny.
I sincerely hope they renew the series and keep giving us more great content. One of my favorite light comedy shows of the year!

I've just binge watched the series. Genuinely funny, and captured many essences of Jewish family life. Cleverly done, with great characters and acting. Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, and the other key characters were great, particularly Noah's Mum (the quintessential Jewish matriarch), Joanne's sister, Noah's brother Sacha, and Sacha's wife. Really hope there's a Season 2 to explore Joanne & Noah's relationship further, and see what the future holds for both of them personally and in their careers. I feel there is room for character development for both of Joanne's parents, especially her relationship with her father.
Season 1 was delightful and charming. Season 2 is full of unlikeable, entitled characters & thin storylines. I think the leads are doing the best they can with what they've been given, but the writing is pretty awful and forced. Most of it is unoriginal, seen-this-before kinda stuff, trying too hard to be timely or "current" and it just comes off as weak.
And my GOD with the ridiculously forced product placements! Just stop - it's distracting and dumb.

I love this! I binged the entire series in one day and I think it is near perfect. It's like watching a good romantic comedy film but stretched out into a 10 episode TV series which makes it all the more satisfying.
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody have the most amazing chemistry together. They are charming and their connection seems genuine, their banter realistic. It's rare to see a couple be so believable together from the minute they are on screen together. The way he looks at her gave me butterflies and I am an ancient 45 year old woman who rarely feels that way when watching anything anymore.
I can't recommend this programme highly enough!

Adam Brody and Kristen Bell have incredible on screen chemistry.
I really enjoyed this show - it was so much more than I was expecting.
It was easy to watch, relatable, super funny and charming throughout the entire 10 episodes. I do however wish the episodes were slightly longer - they averted about 26 - 30 minutes per episode but that also made it for a super easy watch. I binged the whole thing in one sitting last night.
I'm eagerly waiting for Netflix to confirm another season. If it doesn't get another, I'll be bummed. It left on a bit of a cliff hanger so I need more.
I'm already starting my second rewatch of the series.

I was so excited for this one! Some of the dialogue and parts of the storyline, especially in the first episode, missed the mark. A few minutes in I thought, is this going to suck?
Well, I stuck with it and ended up REALLY enjoying it. The love story was passionate and they definitely had chemistry. And that first kiss. WOOFTA. I think I also got pregnant.
Also, many laugh out loud funny moments. 100% my sense of humor.
Is it an Oscar winner? Probably not. Will people be offended? Absolutely. But it's a feel-good story that was an easy binge with lovable characters. Can't wait for Season 2.

I wasn't sure about the premise but I fell in love with both Joanne and Noah, their chemistry does work...such a genuinely funny show that had me giggling and smiling all the way through. Great treatment of the topics and timely in the current environment. Definitely fun but great messages as well.
I loved Kirsten Bell in The Good Place which is why I decided to watch Nobody Wants This and was rewarded with an excellent show. Adam Brody was brilliant as Noah and the supporting cast were great and added to the fun of the show. Genuinely hope that there is a season 2 it is that good. Highly recommend 👏👏👏

After absolutely adoring season 1, I absolutely binged watched season 2 today. This felt like a different show with the same characters to be honest. It wasn't bad per se but it's lost a lot of it's punch. Without giving away spoilers these characters feel sanitized. Every one seems to have changed. I understand they changed up the writers in order to soften the characters but it's missing its charm. I didnt find myself really laughing out loud and was even tempted to skip forward a few times. It felt like we were just slugging through some episodes with filler. If there is a season three I hope they can bring back the magic.

I really loved this one! Romantic comedies always follow the same formula, but this one has a lot of strong points - + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and harmonic. They played the characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters felt funny, witty and touching in the best way. + In a world that promotes representation, it's the first time that I saw a Jewish male love interest. I think it displayed beautiful and inclusive parts of the religion without putting it on a pedestal in any way. Great writing, great cast, and incredible chemistry made this a binge watch for me, followed by a quick search for "Will there be a season 2?". Loved this!

First season was amazing. However watching season 2 I don't enjoy it as much. And I believe the reason is that the high of meeting someone new and portraying the emotions so many of us search or lack or whatever is so intoxicating, this is why it was so successful. As in life, first in love moments vs long run is a totally different story. So this is why I think this is not as enjoyable. I mean sure, maybe story could be better for 2nd but I honestly think actors are great, it's just the fact that we are all tired and enjoy more experiencing uplifting dreamy scenes than the reality of life and it's challenges which is navigating issues and various situations bla bla bla. At least this is my first though here.

I really like this show - it's comforting and all, but... why does it feel like we're getting the same storyline again with Joanne and Noah? The finale keeps going in circles, just like in the first season. Honestly, I preferred the dynamic between Sasha, Morgan, and Esther. It's not bad, but I expected more - this show has so much potential.

First season 7/10 to the second season 3/10. The show and actors proved in season 1 the show had potential for another good season or 2, but fool me once shame on you! You won't get me twice I promise you that. Sorry to the people that waited for another season and got this instead. You don't have to be a genius to figure out the writers were different or lost their talent for writing. Have fun to those that suffer through season 2. If by a miracle there's a season 3. Please bring back the original crew who made season 1. If not don't bother wasting your time and energy to torture us viewers again! By the way I normally don't write reviews.

Although I usually love the romcom genre, Nobody Like This doesn't really grab me. Joanne and Noah's relationship doesn't make much sense - they have nothing in common, and their life choices don't align. I actually thought they would be better off apart. That said, there are some good moments and a few enjoyable episodes. Like most Netflix productions, the vibe is good and the overall look is great. Still, not much really happens, and the show ends up being kind of forgettable.
I am really enjoying this series, it takes me back to my single and dating days and leaves a smile on my face. It touches on very relatable and relevant topics(regarding dating and dating culture) in such a realistic matter simontanously, and doing so in a refreshingly unproblematic way, the way dating should be, honest dialog all throughout, no games.
Their chemistry is very sweet(of course it helps that they are both experienced, skillful actors individually) and it makes for a lovely watch bringing all those nostalgic feelings back.
Kristen Bell, I have followed since watching Veronica Mars as a young girl. And Adam Brody, my husband glanced at the TV saying: he hasn't changed since The O. C., he is right.

Yes yes yes! This has everything I've been missing about rom coms- chemistry, clever writing, funny quips, and Cali vibes. I never would have paired Kristen Bell and Adam Brody together, but I'm so glad it's them as the leads. They are really good together and are super fun to watch. I'm only two episodes into it, and all I want to do is binge watch it all.
However many episodes there are, there aren't enough. Make more, make more now, and studios take note so you can make more shows and movies that work this well. Screen test for chemistry better and hire good writers who can write quick, smart dialogue like this. Bravo to the writers and to the actors- all great choices.

I am a huge Kristen Bell fan and this show is great.
The writing is fun and smart, the chemistry is real and the casting is perfect.
My only real regret is that the episodes are only a half hour. I am already done 6 out of 10.
Adam Brody is great in his role and the writing for his character is a smart evolution.
On a slightly different note, I would like to say that I have noticed that a lot of my favourite shows lately have been from Netflix. Whether it be this comedy or the Turning Point the Bomb and the Cold War documentary, they really have upped their game.
Once again loving Kristen Bell as always. I wonder if there will ever be a The Good Place movie or reunion? :)

I'm begging you to renew this for season 2-this series is was that good that I've now watched it twice haha
It brings out all the emotions, from heartfelt moments and tears to pure joy and laughter. We haven't had a show like this in a long time, and it really highlights just how great of actors Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are. The chemistry is perfect, and the storyline is relatable, not overly cheesy but real and engaging. The soundtrack is sooo good too!!
There's so much potential for the future, and I'm excited to see where these characters go next! Please don't let this story end here. Season 2 is a must!

I was swept away in the romance and definitely binged this series. There was a lot of great writing, pacing, and acting; it was easy to fall in love. I agree - the rabbi is hot. : )
However, I felt a nagging discomfort with the portrayal of Jewish culture. Some innacuracies were just annoyingly jarring, like the Chanukah menorahs that kept appearing everywhere - his parents entry gate - for real? Or the vast wealth his first- generation immigrant parents had somehow amassed. Some, though, were more repellant, such as the constant use of the term, "shiksa," which is really not a nice thing to say. If I was around people who were earnestly using that term to describe someone, I would not want to hang out with them again. Adding to the offense, the first time the word is used, it is projected with scorn at a stranger based simply on how she looks. Repeatedly in the series, non-jews are identified by their blondeness. As a blonde Jewish woman, I am familiar with this kind of 'but you don't look Jewish" ignorance, but it doesn't come from within the Jewish community.
At best, these discordant elements felt under-researched; at their worst, they felt pandering and reliant on outdated racial stereotyping. I would love to see this improve in a second season!

It's definetely not a 10 at all. I'm sure many of us gave higher rates for Adam Brody!
If it wasn't for him, I would have given 4, that's what this show deserves. Not a good script, unrealistic, most characters are annoying, It's just mediocre.
On the other hand It involves kind of an old school romance which captures you from time to time and I think makes you want to keep going.

In the Netflix series Nobody Wants This, starring Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, the first two seasons offer an uneven but undeniably engaging blend of comedy, romance, and cultural charm. Season one stands out as a burst of originality, following a Jewish rabbi and a free-spirited young woman as they stumble through a developing relationship filled with witty banter and refreshingly bold humor. The chemistry between Brody and Bell grounds the entire show, giving it a warm and vibrant energy that makes the story easy to invest in from the very beginning.
The supporting cast adds even more personality, particularly through the lively back-and-forth exchanges that become the series' hallmark. Season one builds its world with confidence, leaning into quirky comedic setups that feel both authentic and sharp. It's the kind of season that catches viewers off guard with how heartfelt and hilarious it is, making it easy to binge and even easier to recommend.
Season two, however, takes a noticeable tonal shift. The show grows more serious and less spontaneous, losing some of the comedic spark that made its debut so memorable. One of the most disappointing elements is how the writing treats Morgan, a previously strong and entertaining character who is now portrayed as desperate and overly eager to jump into major life decisions. This change undermines her depth and makes her feel reduced rather than evolved, which weakens the emotional balance of the season.
Alongside this issue, season two often feels like a copy-and-paste version of its predecessor, recycling relationship conflicts and character arcs instead of building on them. The creative rhythm wavers, and the narrative sometimes feels more like an obligation than an inspired continuation. While the season isn't bad, the magic of the first season isn't as present, and some storylines feel stalled when they should be accelerating.
Even with these missteps, the show retains enough charm to remain worthwhile. The performances are consistently strong, and the heart of the series still shines through in meaningful ways. The humor, while not as constant, still delivers in several key moments, and the dynamic between the lead characters remains a compelling anchor for the entire story. Knowing that season three has already been greenlit offers hope that the writers can rediscover the tone and spark that made the series special in the first place.
For now, Nobody Wants This is still a series worth watching. Season one is a standout, and season two, while imperfect, remains enjoyable largely because of the groundwork laid earlier and the undeniable chemistry of its cast. It's a show with potential, personality, and room to grow - and if season three can strike the right balance, the series could easily return to form.

I really like the idea of a rom-com show about an agnostic woman and a rabbi. It sets up some really interesting themes of faith, religious discrimination, and of course, how true love conquers all. It is almost that. The first season kind of sets it up to be that. However, while the show is very interested in Noah's religion, it isn't really interested in Joanne's. She says she's agnostic, but she never really explains it past the introduction to her character. In fact, the fact she's agnostic doesn't come up at all during the entire second season, just the fact that she isn't Jewish. The one thing I was waiting for for the whole show is Joanne putting her foot down. "No, I won't convert, because I would only be doing it for you. I arrived at my own conclusions about faith, and that journey was my own. I love you, but I won't change myself for you." Those three sentences, or something akin to that, would save the show for me. Unfortunately, that never happened. I wouldn't call Joanne underdeveloped, but this one aspect of her character that is integral to the premise of the show is almost completely absent from the story, so overall, I ended up not enjoying it as much as I wanted to.
