Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, "Call Girl of Cthulhu" is the result of months of research, aiming to create a gory, fun homage to the master of horror. The entire screenplay is one giant Easter Egg for Lovecraft fans.

During the movie's climax, a dozen practical FX were used per minute. The setup and execution of those practical FX took hours for each. All in all, the climax took an entire week to complete, during which only 45 seconds of the movie were filmed per day.
The only paid cast members were the nude roles, all other actors and actresses worked for free.
