Ashley is recently divorced or some time ago and the guy really was bad news. Her friend tessa trying to be a good friend sets her up for a dating profile. Ashley should really not be so quick to trust men though and she falls for this guy called marco instantly. His a smuck and even seems like his up to something when they talk via zoom and why would they do cam talking before even meeting in person first. He finds where she lives destroys some art that took ages to make and thretens her life like a psycho; i do have to say it was the least worse of these films ive seen. The plot was decent and sure the acting was not great but it was actually believable in places and i still enjoyed it.

Ashley Morrison (Shiva Negar) catches her husband cheating at his own birthday party. It's one year later and the newly divorced Ashley is going on a dating app. The guy turns out to be a con man, but it gets much worst. First, he claims to have all his money stolen. He needs an emergency $8k. After losing the money, she and her friend out him. He decides to come after her IRL.
I'm not sure about the logistics of that birthday party. It seems like a bad opening scene, but I could be wrong. Love scams are a big present-day issue. So this is perfect for Lifetime although $8k is too small. They need to go bigger and raise the stakes. The stakes do get raised soon enough, but I would have liked it to start high. With higher losses, Marco would have more motivation. The movie generally needs a big energy drink to raise the intensity. The story is trying to be intense, but it's not on the screen. On top of that, the writing really needs a lot more work to make this smarter.
