I watched the entire series and found it quite enjoyable. Yes, there's a few times where you have to suspend disbelief but the story pace and mystery keeps you watching. I found one unanswered plot element but I may need to rewatch to see if I missed it. The characters were great overall. Some were not given enough depth but I think that was on purpose and it did not keep me from enjoying the series. It's a mix of caper-whodunnit with some comedic elements and female heroics.

Loved all the characters and the actors who played them. loved the line "You've got that Kill Bill thing going on" (Jane to Linda) Held my interest. Nice break from all the dark, heavy murder mysteries I tend to gravitate toward. 👍👍

Enjoyed this series. Wish there were more seasons. It had suspense, humor, tension and revenge. Lots of fun.
I found this show on amazon prime. I started to watch it and nearly gave up after the first episode, then when the story line of the series started to be explained I started to look forward to watching it. I find the characters fun to watch although some of them are over the top. I hope amazon adds more seasons as they be ome available.

Think of it like a New Zealand version of Leverage but not as clever. Entertaining In it's own way though.

I came across this by accident and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't understand the negative reviews some people gave it. If you're looking for a fast slam bang series this isn't it, but the characters are fun. It's not typical Hollywood dreck, it's different, occasionally funny sometimes frustrating and overall a good watch.

... a mediocre enough production to watch solely because of the two main lead actors Marshall & Prebble... otherwise the script is the culprit.. never rising above fairly bland-uninteresting definitely-not-requiring thirteen episodes... culminating with an ending doing little to satisfy viewers... overall viewer-reviews-ratings being very kind.
It's hard for me to remember anything except Antonia Prebble's face. She sums up the past and present with a pursed lip and a turned cheek.

The most enjoyable episodes were the ones where the focus was not on the girl who had died, but where they were trying to help someone solve their problem. Reminded me of my favorite episodes of Burn Notice, without the comic edge. I liked the characters, but they didn't have a ton of depth. Very serious all the time. Overall plot felt too predictable.
Reluctant to watch in the beginning thinking it was a girlie show, but very quickly got caught up in what turned out to be a highly entertaining comedy drama.
The main characters were excellent while the primary plot held my attention like any good whodunnit. I was kept guessing right up to the final episode.
I enjoyed how new sub-plots were introduced and resolved.
My only disappointment is that there's just one season with these really fun actors working together.

I watched this production over the course of a year. I enjoyed the initial interaction between the two girls. Then came the brains of the outfit. There were plot twists to stagger the imagination. Every suspect was throughly examined and discounted one at a time. The series was set in New Zealand so the actors were unknown to me when I started watching. All of the characters were developed as the series progressed. They were all very consistently played throughout. Being from the US I enjoyed the kiwi accent. I had hoped that the series would expand into other "crimes" using the same characters but I guess after all of this time the last scene was just bull.

Antonia Pebble. Well, she is a pretty girl. However, she is another in a series of Millenial actresses playing a vapid, gullible dimwit who is not only supremely sure of her own moral superiority, but has convinced herself that hers is the only opinion that matters. She does her best to ram that opinion down the other characters' throats. In reality, no one like that would survive working as a PA at a law firm. She plays the 'I'm dumb, so I'll just bat my eyelashes at you' card over and over. I watched quite a bit of this, hoping that the plot would turn, but no. It's for that set of special snowflakes.

This brilliant New Zealand production is a murder mystery, with a touch of Scooby Doo, but all heart and very real characters.
Unusually high quality of believable realism in the writing, and with thoroughly believable acting from the 8 main characters, it kept me constantly intrigued and entertained.
There are also regular laughs, plenty of dry one-liners, and a couple running jokes to keep it very enjoyable.
Over the thirteen 44minute episodes, a lot happens; characters and situations change, forming a very engrossing story.
The only aspect i disliked was so many times the main roles jumped to overly simplistic answers for what they just discovered. (One star lost from the rating because of this.) But one character always had a more complex vision, and over the course of the mystery unravelling it felt more like this was an intentional story element.
Loved hearing the NZ accent throughout; which is made fun of quite a bit in Australia, but this normalized it beautifully for me.
Not as dark as most English murder mysteries, but just as deep and way more fun. Highly recommended.
Best bits: the only good reason to get a tattoo... and a bit of fun for fans of the Australian series "Prisoner" (1979-1986).

I came across this on Acorn TV and started to watch it. I could only manage to make it to episode 3 before I gave up. It's a "Thelma and Louise" makeover, with two mismatched female characters playing the leads. The plot is very complicated, and requires long explanations to fully explain what is happening, as well as the roles of all who are involved. Some of the characters just seem to be in the plot to fill spaces but their roles in the plot are never really developed. The characters are two dimensional, flat, and just not funny. I guess this was produced for the local sitcom market in New Zealand but I doubt it would be appealing to a wider, more global audience.

Not sure why so many Australian dramas have such disagreeable characters, yelling and insulting each other. It's an unpleasant, trying experience hampered by weak acting and an even weaker script. Think I'll stick to the much more fun, witty Kiwi adventures when streaming.
I tried to watch, hoping it would get more interesting. It didn't. It is deathly dull. Absolutely no interest. Someone killed her friend, working temp in the office her dead friend worked, tries to solve it.
I kept falling asleep, or did my brain just go numb. I've seen worse, but found it unwatchable. Paint drying, with nails on a blackboard. ouch!
In case you don't know- blue and purple roses don't happen naturally. The tile "the blue rose" comes from a tattoo. It says a true blue rose doesn't exist. It was developed 2004 from a genetically modified white rose. I see blue and purple roses, and a certain orchid, that was white, is now in blue and purple.
