Blue Beetle is the long-awaited live-action debut of the DC hero. The story follows teenager Jaime Reyes, who finds a weird robotic scarab that ultimately infiltrates his life. It intertwines with Jaime's body and grants him a superhero suit. But, obviously, this isn't a blessing for the teen as he can't always control the beetle armor. Aside from the interesting premise and lack of horrible superhero tropes, Blue Beetle stands out because of its groundbreaking representation of Latino communities both on screen and off. As such, some pretty familiar faces are thrown in the bunch to get excited about.

For Heavens Sake

“Heavens: The Boy and His Robot,” a Singapore-produced movie, will have its world and commercial premiere in Japanese cinemas this November. The film is Singapore’s first live-action feature film of the mecha genre, a genre of Japanese manga and anime that features or focuses on mechanical innovations such as robots and cyborgs.

The film is an action-adventure drama with offbeat humor, following the journey of a struggling young pilot, Kai, and his fighter mecha, Little Dragon. Set against a backdrop of epic galactic warfare, the movie explores Kai’s dream of joining the Mecha Corps to bring peace to a war-torn world and the unique friendship that develops between him and his mecha.

The film is very much the product of Rich Ho, who serves as producer, director, writer, film music composer, art director, set designer, director of photography and co-visual effects supervisor.

DC is hoping to turn a lot of moviegoers into fans with a slightly lesser-known character this summer when "Blue Beetle" hits theaters. But it's not like nobody knows who this superhero is, as he has had a presence in the comics, animated shows, and -- more to the point -- the games for quite some time. To that end, the director of the upcoming film, Angel Manuel Soto, took direct inspiration for the hero's costume from the "Injustice" video games.

/Film's Jenna Busch was recently on hand for a "Blue Beetle" trailer premiere event. During the proceedings, Soto was asked about the character's costume in the film, which certainly looks a bit like the costume players are familiar with from the series of very popular fighting games. Soto did not deny that he took inspiration from the games and, moreover, revealed that Blue Beetle was his favorite character to play as:

Melbourne, Jun 17(Ani): A new beer glass, called the "Offline Beer Glass", promises to make drinkers spend more time with friends than with their smartphones.

The glass-designed by Brazilian ad agency Fischer and Friends - basically looks like it has been given a thick heel and it only stands upright when supported by a mobile phone, News.com.au reported.

The phone slides in underneath its base, allowing it to sit normally on a table.
