Percy and Kane are 24th century skip tracers forced to help track down an escaped prisoner on the abandoned, decaying Helix Station. But, something happened on Helix Station decades before that Percy can't talk about and can't forget...but what choice do they have?

Percy, Kane and Co. barely survive when their spaceship crashes into the docking bay of Helix Station. They are surrounded by death and peril on the abandoned, radioactive space city. Once aboard the escaped Black Iron Prison ship docked there, they find something even more horrifying.

The two skip tracers and the prison officers find the teenage daughter of the escaped prisoner they tracked to Helix Station and stumble upon a strange alien being frozen in a block of ice. Why would an escaped prisoner bring his daughter to this godforsaken ghost station? And what the hell is that hideous creature frozen in a block of ice? Is the ice ... melting?

Percy, Juniper, and a seriously injured Prendergast flee from the alien monster that has spawned from one of their crew mates. To save the life of the prison guard she absolutely despises, Percy will have to sacrifice precious vials of the painblockers she uses to fend off the demons that plague her memories. Is she willing to make that sacrifice?

Prendergast is stabilized, and Percy is finally ready to tell the story of what happened on Helix Station 20 years ago that still gives her waking nightmares. Tensions are high between Percy and Prendergast, but he won't waver on his commitment-they must kill the parasites before leaving Helix Station. If they can find a way to detonate the reactor, they can destroy the entire station. But just as they're about to do so, they stumble upon another person.

Juniper is overjoyed to discover that her dad is still alive. Percy is furious at Lennox. Does he understand what he has unleashed? Lennox tries to explain himself, then agrees to assist Percy. But are the demons from her past powerful enough to stop her from doing what needs to be done?
