Finn Baxter: [jumping on the couch, shouting] I... am... jumping... on the... sofa!
Alexis Baxter: [upstairs, painting her toe nails] I don't care!
Finn Baxter: [mixing sweets and junk into a blender and drinking the finished drink, screaming] I'm eating junk food!
Alexis Baxter: [lying in her bed upstairs, screaming] I don't care!
Finn Baxter: [kicked a lamp with a soccer ball, shouting] I broke a lamp!
Alexis Baxter: [upstairs on her bed, looking at her laptop screen, with her feet up] I can't hear you. And I don't care.

Alexis Baxter: [Turning to see Finn kneeling] What are you doing weirdo?
Finn Baxter: Making more ghost traps. I'm going to prove that this house is haunted. You'll see! Then we can all move back home.
Alexis Baxter: There is no ghost, I was just messing with you

Alexis Baxter: So... What's your big plan? Wrap the ghost up and tuck him under the Christmas tree?
Finn Baxter: Look, if the ghost tries to get out out of the basement while we're gone, this wrapping paper will rip. Proof... That the ghost is real

[Making a spooky gesture with her arms]
Finn Baxter: [Thinks for a moment] You're not helping!

Catherine Baxter: Now hurry up, we're going to leave as soon as your Father is done clearing the driveway.
Alexis Baxter: [Pulling a knowing face] That could be a while.
Curtis Baxter: [Struggling with the snow splow whilst Mason watches shaking his head] Come on! I can do this!
[Falls over]
Curtis Baxter: Who can live like this?
Mason: Amateur

[the thieves are in a hardware store; Sinclair examines a pair of orange rubber boots]
Sinclair: Hmm... Wonder if they sell them individually. Hmm. Well, all right. Just have to stabilise my ankle.
[limps over to Hughes and Jessica]
Jessica: Perfect.
Sinclair: Good.
Mr. Hughes: Who's Gigi?
Sinclair: None of your business.
Jessica: What? Who's Gigi?
Mr. Hughes: Back by the safe, you said, "My beloved Gigi should be here," so I wanna know, who are we really looking for? Are we looking for a body?
Sinclair: [sighs, looks over his shoulder and puts some stretchy ropes in Jessica's shopping basket] Come here.
[leads Hughes and Jessica around a corner]
Sinclair: Gigi... was my great-grandmother, and if you *must* know... she is... the Widow.
[Jessica gasps]
Sinclair: Yeah.
[sits down and groans]
Sinclair: Edvard Munch was so enraptured by her doleful beauty that he... *painted* her into a masterpiece. In the painting, she's seen sitting with her children. Her family. *My* family.
Jessica: Oh...
Sinclair: The canvas was stolen decades ago, but I'm gonna find her.
[struggles to his feet]
Sinclair: She belongs to me.

Curtis Baxter: You're sure you saw something?
Finn Baxter: Yes! It was right here by the window!
Curtis Baxter: Buddy, have you ever heard of the fable "The Boy Who Cried Ghost"?
Alexis Baxter: [barges in] If *my* sweater is ruined, you are so dead!
Finn Baxter: We should check to see if anything's out of place.
Catherine Baxter: [tries to grab Finn as he heads for the kitchen] Finn, come here. Let's calm down and talk about this!
[Curtis picks a pine needle from Alexis' hair]
Finn Baxter: Cookies are missing!
[picks up a plate of gingerbread men]
Finn Baxter: Look, look, look, look, look! There were six gingerbread men here at breakfast. Now there are only four!
Catherine Baxter: [scoffs and grabs the plate] All this proves is that someone disobeyed me when I said no gingerbread men for breakfast.
Finn Baxter: [looks to the basement door] And look!
[points to the torn wrapping paper he attached earlier]
Finn Baxter: My ghost trap! The ghost is out! It came from the basement!
Alexis Baxter: OK, that is actually creepy.
Catherine Baxter: [sternly] Don't encourage him.
[to Curtis]
Catherine Baxter: Honey, tell your son there's nothing to be afraid of.
Curtis Baxter: [uneasily] I think I just got the chills.
Catherine Baxter: *Nothing* came out of the *basement*! All of you are acting ridiculous!

[the thieves are outside Finn's house]
Jessica: OK, the perimeter's clear.
Mr. Hughes: No movement. All good.
Sinclair: All right, listen. I don't want to alarm you, but I think I just saw someone in that window upstairs. A flickering or, I don't know, a shadow or something.
Mr. Hughes: This guy in town was telling me this place is haunted. The gangster who stole your great-granny's picture, he got murdered in this house.
[Jessica gasps]
Mr. Hughes: You left that part out, didn't you? Maybe he doesn't want anyone to *touch* his painting.
Jessica: You know, if we had some sage, we could cleanse the house out.
Sinclair: Don't be absurd!
Mr. Hughes: I don't want to upset some ghost gangster.
Sinclair: Look, we're going in, ghost or no ghost! Now, come on! Let's go get your tools.
[to Jessica]
Sinclair: You too. Come on.
