Absolutely in love with The Traitors (Australia). As a huge fan of The Mole, including the new reboot, one of the biggest feedback I had (along with many others) was that they wished The Mole also had stake in the game as well to make the game a bit more competitive. Here comes The Traitors, a new game that is slightly similar, but with a much better twist - the "traitors" are selected from the contestants pool (not a hired actor), and everyone has to compete to win the money. The social game is even more intense in this one, because you have to stay off everyone's radar so you don't look suspicious, AND the Traitors' radar so they don't 'murder' you for being a threat.
In this debut Australian version, I really liked their casting and Roger is great host as well. Each episode takes you on a wild ride where you don't know who's next.
I haven't seen confirmation for a season 2 yet, but in the finale they did mention see you next year. So I hope that's confirmation lol. Love this show!

I am not usually writing reviews, it's my first one actually but i feel like this show needs more love.
After watching "The Mole", i was left with a gap,, something was not right. And a friend recommended me this show. I managed to finish it less than a day. Even though i did not like the winner, I loved the show.
Throughout the show I would find myself pausing the show for 5-10 minutes straight and calculating what my moves would be if I were a traitor. It really turns the wheels inside your brain.
You see thought processes which feel more genuine and make more sense rather than the ones in " The Mole". It always makes you question what would you do in the player's situation or whether you would've chosen better.
The cast is diverse, from silent players to more vocal ones with bigger personalities which does make it more interesting.
Nice looking mansion, nice sets, nice contests and nice costumes, really portrays them as murderers from a secret order.
Witty and good looking presenter. If he would ever steal my wife I would totally understand it.

I like the Australian version of The Traitors the best out of the three versions I've seen. The games are different and more interesting than the American and British versions. The surprises and psychological mind games are also stronger.
Even though the first season started a bit slow, I enjoyed it. The second season that's airing now is crazy, especially episodes 5 and 6.
They really did a great job with the casting as well, all the players from both seasons are very strong and entertaining to watch.
I recommend this show a lot. It's really fun to watch, and once you start, you'll want to keep watching!

I discovered this recently. Binged watch the french canadian version AND the UK version. I have nothing but love for the show. I just watched the australian version and it was okay, but nothing more than that. Not a fan of Rodger, he wasn't bad by any mean, just didn't love him. There was several moments where i found he was talking to much before round tables, almost giving hints as who was/were the traitors. Find it way easier for traitors in this version compare to the previous one I've watched. All and all it was far from bad, but some details here and there that, if I were them, I would've stick to the original version. 6/10.

I love Traitors, I've watched Traitors US, Traitors UK, and then started watching Traitors AU. Season 1 of AU wasn't bad, I really liked that the shield protected them from banishment and murder, thought that made a lot of sense, and really made it worthwhile for traitors and faithful. Season 2 AU, they took that away, so the shield only protected you from murder just like the other versions.
My main problem with season 2 though is the people... These are some of the dumbest people I've ever seen. I've never wanted to throw the remote at the TV more than watching them. They all deserve to lose, both faithfuls, and traitors. Just give the money to the host, Rodger, as a bonus for having to sit through their season.
Please use this season's footage if you've ever been incarcerated by these 2 former law enforcement officials. They're clearly terrible investigators, and any cases they've worked on should be thrown out the window. I can just imagine them being like, well we found this guy covered in blood holding the murder weapon at the scene, but he's the victims former lover, so we're convinced it was the 90 year old woman at the deli across the street, who has no connection to the victim whatsoever, because she didn't get off the toilet to answer the door when we came to question her. That makes her our prime suspect!

From the first episode watching this after the US and UK versions, and for some reason this version ticks all the boxes. Suave and sophisticated host with excellent humour (I felt Claudia took it far too seriously), and the gold masks for the traitors was a great touch.
I thought it was hilarious seeing the traitors at the start of the UK one in the tower just holding their heads down pretending not to see each other, not even putting the hoods back up before the last one came in. I mean, really?
Also the contestants are allowed to drive. Which is apparently rare af.
Whole thing just felt more polished and professional than the others, and as much as I like Claudia, I felt she didn't really fit, and Alan, while a legend, didn't seem right either. Rodger, even though I had no idea who he was, just seemed so natural and effortless in his role.
I really need a season two.

I preferred our own version (the British one) but this was still good.
I binged it over a weekend. After the first couple of episodes I decided to skip past the challenges. They weren't very entertaining and felt more like filler for each episode. I may have missed the odd discussion but I can live with that. I want to see the scheming and the back stabbing play out, not someone walking over a bridge with trapdoors or retrieving something out of a lake.
As with our version though I was never too sure which side I wanted to win. I can admire a good traitor. Especially when they are saying one thing and doing another like it's normal to them. I can also admire a faithful when they cleverly put together who it is and why.
All in all it's a good watch and harmless entertainment. Will your favourite win? You'll have to watch it to see.

Now to the series.
I've seen 4 sessions now, the uk, swedish and Au versions. As done with all episodes and seasons , I basically skip all the challenges that has nothing to do Helping with the overall game at all, so it's pointless. It's Like a separate thing from the actual game.
Focusing on this season, I am concerned about the professionals people made out themselves to be and having so much peanuts for braincells. I don't know, maybe it mirrors the viewers also, that is why the producers casts this way, for the viewers to recognize themselves. Nahmsayin.
I notice the pattern in all these competitions is that there are the dumbnuts that makes it the farthest.
Even the Uk version. Although that was the best season of all because of the traitor act was astounding.

S2 These might be the dumbest people of all time in any show ever. It's actually really funny! So easily manipulated and zero back bone. Cowards and idiots. It almost seems fake. Can people really be this stupid. Well these days it's not so surprising. These people should never play poker for any amount of money. They give you everything with one facial expression. Your best chance to hang around is be dumber than the person next to you. And by all means never get it right or point out a traitor because being smart gets you gone. The first season is so much more competitive and way more engaging. But if you love train wrecks and stupid people season 2 is for you. The most impressive person in season 2 is Sarah. I am absolutely blown away that she has lived as long as she has. How she survives daily life is beyond my comprehension. It's truly incredible.

The Aus version of this show is truly awful. I got hooked from the UK version and then watched the Aus and US versions which were good but the celebrities made it feel scripted and tacky.
I decided to give Season 2 of the Aus version a good go and I honestly cannot watch anymore. This is a totally scripted and fabricated pile of garbage. Everyone agrees in the morning for one person and then switch to the person leading the round table even with zero evidence. The show doesn't need to be scripted and it doesn't need social media influencers as contestants either.
I'd recommend the UK version as it gets really spicy and you can tell they are real people!
