I wasn't sure I would enjoy a zomcom, but I was pleasantly surprised by this genuinely humorous indie film. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the rest of the audience seemed to as well, judging by the outbursts of laughter and the energy in the theater.
The lead actor was a convincing husband and dad -- not a big oaf but a quirky, creative, persevering kind of guy who might drive a more down to earth wife crazy. The female lead was relatable as a professional woman trying to juggle work and home responsibilities despite having a husband seemingly obsessed with attacks by zombies.
The entire cast was strong and an unexpected development added a fun and satisfying element at the end.

Amid an ocean of films overflowing with excessive budgets and formulaic productions, Don't Get Eaten stands as a beacon of creativity and heart. Its precise pacing, clever dialogue, and meticulously designed costumes enhance a storyline filled with natural, engaging twists. Every unexpected turn propels the narrative with authenticity and depth. With its blend of artistic vision and genuine charm, this film rises above typical Hollywood fare, earning recognition as one of the most memorable cinematic experiences in recent years. A true cinematic gem that delights and inspires all truly. Please go watch it.
When I saw this Amazon rental had 8.8 on IMDB, I read the three reviews and foolishly thought I had stumbled into what could be a cool indie sleeper, and rolled the dice. There were absolutely no redeemable qualities or facets to this underwhelming, boring stinker that is full of terrible cartoonish acting, zero suspense, a hollow plot and terrifyingly annoying characters. No idea why this was rated 18+, it could have easily been rated G.
The three reviews I read before wasting $3.39 and 77 minutes of my life have to have been written by producers, or those with connections to this steaming turd, so please, let my sacrifice save you from making the same mistake.

A truly funny low-budget comedy that leans on its considerable charm and the cast's relatable reactions to the preposterous developments that keep getting dropped into their lives like hand grenades. It leans into the goofy with a straight faced earnestness that never yanked me from my suspension of disbelief or made it feel overdone.
It follows the trials and travails of a young family who find themselves contesting with both an isolated outbreak of the undead during a weekend getaway and their own fractious relationships. I loved that both of our protagonists (Noah and Rose) had such a believable dynamic that made me want to root for them individually and for their relationship. It's rare a movie can pack so many laughs and bits in while still having something substantive for the viewer to invest in.
