To be honest actually, I wasn't expecting such a good action film from Turkish film makers. Usually, Turks are good at dramas but this one is pretty good.

Film is based on a True Story and you can get in film from the beginning. Main actor, Ismail Hacioglu is performing very well. I like the way of he played in the film. Specially his eyes and poker face.

Cinematography is also impressive. Director of Photographer did great job like some of his colleagues did in Netflix Middle East series. I think what he did was great and he can work even in US easily.

Idk about where they made this film but locations are unique.

This must be the only sucking way to tell such a great story. Burst into tears when I saw "Snopy" brand headset on intelligence guy's head while he was orchestrating a top secret ops. The way they tell the story stayed in the shadow of the unneccessary action scenes. I could not feel the emotion of winning over bad guys. All the promises at the begining of the movie stayed undone. Epic side of the story is crushed under meaningless conversations. Worldwide known terorist organization was reflected as a "notorious boys club". This story should have been filmed by Alper Çaglar. He showed his talent in Dag-II.

This film is based on true story. Turkish Intelligence Agency try to save 49 Turkish Citizens from ISIS in Iraq.

What I most like in this film is You can see Yazidis in it. You can't see them in many movies, specially the ones from Hollywood. But in this film You can see how they feel pain and what they've been through while they captured from terrorist group. I think it's important to tell to the world what they faced.

On the other hand, I like casting, location and action scenes. It's like mini-budget Hollywood film. Cinematograpy is also very impressive.

PS: Ismail is really good in this film.

No pun intended - and yes I imagine you can do the math yourself. Also as the saying goes with magnificent sevens ... well one could imagine that there is a connection here ... not. The same goes for the rating that seems to be all over the place. Just a few days ago, it was around 3 something, now it is 9 ... the truth is somewhere in between. Depending on your ability to suspend your disbelief and if you can dig the patriotism on display here.

I imagine if you are from Turkey and/or know the actors involved in this ... you may be ahead of the game for most others I assume. That being said, the movie uses quite a few cliches (and I don't mean the all power to special forces and heroes beyond approach - especially or even more so, when they defy direct orders) ... you really have to go on board with a lot of things. But this is no different than many movies from the US ... so if you have issues with the patriotic acts ... well you should have issues with many US movies too.

The action is decent enough, don't expect this to blow your mind though (it does blow other stuff ... up) ... of course the main good guys are over the top good and the bad guys are almost comically evil ... did I mention you have to suspend your disbelief yet? I did ... well just making sure ... I dug it, for the obvious cliche ridden and predictable action movie it is ... it does not pretend to be anything else ...
