10/10 for the anime

Read the manhwa like 10 times and I treasured it for a very long time. The best thing is that when someone reacting to the anime as I was with the manhwa back then, man can't explain how happy I am watching them explode with the thrill.

Animations look so cool and vivid as the manhwa.

Voice actors is killing the Scenes with their performances. Sawano's Background music's are phenomenal as ever.

Man that ending from TK was not expected. Opening was a great one too.

After the 2nd episode , pretty sure we can expect many many great things from now-on. 10/10 for the anime so far.100% Arise !!!!!

This is something!

And you wont regret it!

Ive had this show on my watch list for over a year now, watching the first episode made me kinda meh but the second episode is the way to start!

I recommend watching those first three episodes alongside each other giving it a movie vibe, you feel me? The first one didn't quite hit it off for some, myself included, but trust me if you don't continue you are missing out!

The art game is on another level - the drawing, character moves, and the colors used are straight-up fire. It's a whole mood, something you don't come across every day.

That goofy yet kinda creepy smile? That's what hooked me a year back, and now we're getting the backstory of it, pure fire.

The outro is like being in a cinema, legit movie feels. The intro, though, needs some work, it's a bit meh, hope theyll work on it!

In this visual storytelling world, every frame tells a story , and it's not just about the plot. The animation style speak volumes, showing mad dedication from the creators and I already cant wait for the next Saturday!

Very good to see, honestly.

Honestly, I don't even know what to say; I have mixed feelings since I am a reader of the Manhwa, and I feel that the story in the anime started off much softer than in the book, but I think it was very well done. I honestly feel that they respected the original story a lot. I also think that in terms of quality, the animation was more than good; honestly, it surprised me. I thought the animation would be bad like that of Tower of Gods, but it seems I was wrong. Honestly, the animation was very good, and the anime was very enjoyable to watch in my opinion. Above all, the character was very well done. The truth is, I hope for a second season and that it is just as good as the first.

They ate it

To be honest it's so damn good and that feels like an insult to the episode just saying that this episode alone is in the top 30 ever produced truth be told. A1 Pictures knew what they were doing with Sung Drip Woo. I'm glad they didn't change his nationality and name like the rumors which would have been hella problematic considering Japan and Korea history, and on ep 2 we get to see Sung get *spoiler* so damn excited animation on point direction on point, va, cha on point! They even showed a raid that was only mentioned as a side not in the manwha and novel we got to see the S rank way earlier honestly it was just fantastic no notes!

good stuff

The first two episodes have definitely left me wanting more, the pacing is decent and the main character is likeable and endearing. They also don't shy away from graphic depictions of blood and gore and they don't go overboard with that aspect either. Its looking good.

The show is definitely the best I've watched since JJK and I keep looking forward to the next episode . I have grown very attached to the main character due to his courage, seflessness and relentless spirit .

I hope it continues to maintain the same level of brilliance in subsequent episodes and will recommend it to as many people as possible.

They nailed it

I may be biased since i have been reading its manhwa for years ( completed it more than 10 times already) As for anime it was quite satisfying to finally see this masterpiece having an anime adaptation. I really liked it. Considering this was a 1st episode it was a brilliant move to let us see some important characters in between scenes Some people won't find 1st episode to their liking but believe me you will love ot wait till some more episodes drop I know it starts like this but wait till 3 episodes it will make you addicted to it.

Just hoping production will be deserving of this masterpiece in future.

Just love it

I don't know about other anime/manhwa. But this was first time me seeing a game system like topic which I always wanted to see since childhood. This is just a fabulous anime. Although people say it got a simple story but that's what unique it is. Unlike other anime the protagonist is a simple Straight 'man' who is goal oriented and is not distracted which is I will always appreciate. This simple story can also be impactful with a unique idea. It has a good impact on my life too.

Talking about its animations. They are getting better time by time and the amount content they are bringing is faster but that's what we fans want. As I have read the manhwa too I just like this anime. Never thought at first ep it would turn out this good.

From Bleach fan....Inspiring and sort of déjà vu..

As I said I am huge fan of Bleach anime.

And when I started whatching this I felt déjà vu..

In Bleach you had Hollow monsters attacking humans, Shinigami with special powers killing them...aaaaand there was Ichigo with almost no powers (underestimated by all) getting stronger... and stronger... and stronger, never giving up. And with Ichigo was his cute, scared lady friend Orihime with healing powers...total déjà vu.

But story is different. I like this game level up system. It is crazy idea and it works.

Also the whole idea that you need magical weapons to kill monsters is great. And that magical swords dont last...so you need to make money to buy new stuff all the time. Power up, get new gear...and so on.

It is briliant. The whole story is like a game. Love it.

I think every gamer can feel the buzz here.

I also like that this anime dont drag things to much. It moves fast for anime.

I am at episode 8 atm. It is clear 9/10 for me.

Love it.

Just Don't listen these kind of people they just spoil these masterpiece......watch this story until the end weither it is simple plot or not... You should watch it's real story I mean it's manhwa then you will understand why it's masterpiece...I hope it will get season 2 and also season 3.

Solo Cliching. SAO 2.O but even worse.

One of the most annoying and cliche main character ever created, the history is just he being the center of the universe, a damn Gary Stu, a amazing plot-armor and powers from the nothing, secondary characters that seem NPCS from a Arpg videogame, give the mission and that's all, no character development or background, women just exist for fall in love at the moment that meet the protagonist, generic villains that are instantly defeated, because he is a Gary Stu, never loses. The only good thing is the animation and the first three episodes of season 1. It's just a remake of Sword Art online but Gore and "Good Animation". Don't deserved Anime of the Year. How this garbage have 8.6? I hope the people realize how bad is. Generic Isekai be like this.

Great Adaptation

I just created an IMDB account just to rate a solid 10 to this masterpiece. This is just the beginning!

The animation team is doing a great Adaptation of the manhua. A-1 Picture rocks as always, hats off to all staff.

Its now episode 6 which im currently writing this review.

Each episodes adapt roughly 3-5 chapters of the manhua. The fight scenes are actually getting amazing from episode 4 and above. They are putting most effort and budget on the last episodes i guess. The art and graphics are mind blowing thanks to each animator behind the scene.

All in all, if you haven't read the manhua yet it could be a little bit confusing but everything would be alright if there would be a season 2!

All i can say, Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!

I don't know of any series with better cliffhangers...season 2 is crazy.

Compilation movie plus the first two episodes of the second season of "Solo Leveling." Personally, it's an anime that captivated me quite a bit despite its simple premise.

It's often said that the first three episodes of an anime are what determine whether you continue watching or not, and in the case of "Solo Leveling," this happens as early as the first and second.

The course of the first season shows the evolution of Sung Jin-woo's character, who goes from being the worst warrior in the world to constantly leveling up until he becomes a killing machine. Perhaps this evolution is what makes the series and the character most interesting.

Slowly, he becomes a darker and more fearsome being, even going so far as to murder human beings because the system demands and demands it; otherwise, the consequences would be undesirable.

The end of the first season is epic and sets a high bar for the start of the second season.

The first two episodes are... incredible... the changes in the animation are noticeable, the plot gets even darker, and the class Sung evolved into to become "Necromancer" gives him a certain Pokemon master look trying to "catch them all." Clearly, it has the makings of becoming the anime of these times in the Shonen demographic, alongside Kaijuu No. 8, perhaps, although below the blockbusters like Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach, One Piece, and others. That doesn't mean it's not a highly recommended series in a genre as overused as this one.

Updated March 29, 2025.

Having already finished the second season of the series, I can't contain my excitement.

We all know it's not the most original manga/anime in the world, but what we do know is that week after week, it broke the internet. The weekly cliffhangers, the epic adventure, and the action kept us on the edge of our seats, day after day, week after week.

This isn't just about the animation, which is incredible in itself.

It has a lot to do with the editing, the script, the moments... it would be simplistic to say that a series that leaves us feeling like this is overrated.

How Jingwoo defeats the Ice Elves, how he appears in Dungeon A to fight the Shaman Ogre, how he enters the Demon Tower to defeat the ultimate boss, or how the events on Jeju Island unfold with Beru are insane. All of this in 13 episodes; there's no filler, no time wasted. We waited a week to see 25-minute episodes that felt like they would last five.

I'm not going to oversell a series that's about what it is, but really, I think in March, we had the anime of the year.

Now we wait until 2026.

Book vs Anime

I was surprised to see they are sticking to the books with the pace. I've seen a lot of Book to Anime series over the last 2 years and most of them speed it up. In fact, I think they've ruined 'Berserk of Gluttony' by skipping way too much detail. This one, they are sticking to the pace and detail that was written. It makes sense since DUBU died and this is going to be an homage to him, no offense to Chugong who may be overshadowed here because of a death.

When an Anime Studio gets a hold of content, they make some strange decisions when it comes to time compression or what will/won't be okay with fans. Luckily, we are getting a real good version of the Anime in comparison with the books..........which is the entire reason it's been so popular.

This series has been a success because the story and characters are intelligently written and there is a beginning and an ending that takes a while to get to, but not too long and not the 'Never Ending Story'.

One thing I've noticed, the Studio didn't try to take a Brutal Novel/Manga series and try to make it "Family Friendly" which is happening way too much lately. This is brutal because it's the only way to define the Protagonist's drive and how he ends up. Kudos for keeping most of the brutality of the world Chugong created.

I gave this 10/10 because the story speaks to me and they didn't screw up the Anime.....to this point.

The new good thing in Anime

The new best anime? I think so. There is only a few episodes out so far. But I love it. The first episode starts kind of slow, but it ends on a high note. What happens from here is very exiting and you just want to see more. The universe even tho it takes a lot of influense from games seem to have lots of potential and even tho we at the current time is only on episode 6 you have still to reveal who the major charracters will be beside the main charracter. I cant wait to see more and I pray the quality of the show will stay as it is, because this looks very good so far. The only thing I dont like is that the episodes are to short. I would rater like to have 2 episodes as 1. So instead of 6 maybe we should have 3. Cant wait to see the next chapter. Its not often Im this exited for a new show. I think Attack on Titan was the last time.

Btw: Some might find the first episode a little slow, but I promis it will be worth it.

Starts well but quickly falls off.

The anime had a lot of potential with a interesting debut. The pacing was good and the plot made sense.

The gates were an interesting concept and paved a way for worldbuilding and potential subplots. The virtual game menu was cool and made sense for the most part, at least initially.

Where the anime suffers is in pacing and in power creep. Power scaling quickly overtook the plot and the entire anime simply became a neverending showcase of how absurdly, nonsensecially, and ridiculous JinWoo is. So much so that even assigned plot armor, suspension of disbelief, and the nature of it being an anime it's still laughable to watch.

It's definitely an anime aimed at every young boys who have the need to be overpowered at everything. This would be better executed by putting more emphasis on character development and slowing down the pacing.

I do appreciate that there aren't too much fan service, though, as all of these "reverse harem" types of anime get really old really fast. Overall the strength lies in the first half of S1.

Childish writing

This doesn't deserve this much spotlight. If this is the best Manhua, then Manhua in general is awful. The writing is so predictable, with fake stakes, unrealistic character development, flat characters, and little to no suspense except for the first two episodes.

How is it possible that after 1 day of the horrific double dungeon incident of which he literally was killed brutally, he goes the very next day to enter a unknown dungeon alone even tho he's very weak? What if instead of fighting a goblin first he fought slightly stronger creatures and got instantly obliraiated? And how is this coward guy suddenly fighting a snake stronger than him with barely any fear? And take this... one week after this he fights a spider with absolutely no fear, slaughters a number of hunters with no hesitation, he becomes a chad out of a sudden and never losses a single fight, defeating every enemy in the episode they appear, absolutely rubbish.

Haven't felt this from anime for a long time!

It feels like I'm a child again when i was watching dragon ball and feeling the power through my body!

And this one feels even better because fighting is not slowed down by lengthy conversations mid fight through multiple episodes only some of their thoughts and tactics are heard mid fight.

The art style is pleasant for the eye, the story is intriguing and always keeps you on toes on what's going to happen next, you really start to feel how the character feels, if you liked jujutsu kaisen you will definitely like this one.

Hope it stays that way!

Absoulute Peak!

I barely have anything to say about this Season , It improved so so much such as animation and voice acting. The plot's also AMAZING!!!

Solo Leveling Season 2, the highly anticipated continuation of the immensely popular manhwa, exceeds expectations in nearly every aspect. With its unique blend of gripping narrative, stunning art, and character evolution, the second season cements its place as one of the most exciting ongoing series in recent years.

The story picks up where Season 1 left off, with the protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, now an overwhelmingly powerful Hunter. After gaining unimaginable strength through his "Player" ability, which allows him to level up in a world filled with dangerous dungeons and powerful monsters, Jin-Woo has become a force to be reckoned with. However, Season 2 delves into new layers of intrigue, expanding the world and introducing more complex conflicts, while still focusing on the core elements that made the series so popular.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Season 2 is the world-building. The plot shifts from focusing purely on Jin-Woo's growth to exploring larger-scale geopolitical dynamics involving the global Hunter system, which is now under greater scrutiny. This wider scope enhances the stakes and makes the story feel more expansive. As Jin-Woo becomes embroiled in power struggles between various nations and factions, the narrative deepens, introducing new enemies and allies. These additions provide a much-needed sense of tension and make the unfolding events feel even more consequential.

Jin-Woo's character arc is also a highlight of Season 2. While the first season showcased his meteoric rise from a weak, low-ranked Hunter to a powerhouse, Season 2 further explores his psyche and motivations. Despite his overwhelming strength, Jin-Woo is not immune to inner conflicts, and his growth as a person remains a central theme. His relationships with other characters-particularly his growing bond with his family and fellow Hunters-are given more screen time, adding emotional depth to the action-packed story.

The art and action sequences are nothing short of spectacular. The action scenes, which were a major draw in Season 1, continue to impress with their fluid animation and highly detailed artwork. Each battle feels intense, thanks to the crisp, dynamic art style that brings the powerful monsters and spells to life. The fight choreography is meticulous, and the stakes of each battle feel genuine due to the high quality of the animation and paneling. The use of color and panel layout also ensures that the emotional moments land with impact, whether it's Jin-Woo confronting a new enemy or a quiet moment of personal reflection.

Another significant improvement in Season 2 is the pacing. The series carefully balances between action-packed episodes and slower, more character-driven moments. It never feels like the narrative is dragging, nor does it overindulge in spectacle. This pacing makes the episodes feel well-rounded, keeping viewers engaged from start to finish.

In conclusion, Solo Leveling Season 2 is a fantastic continuation of a story that has captured the hearts of millions. With an expanded world, deepening character development, and jaw-dropping action, it raises the bar for what a manhwa adaptation can achieve. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer, this season is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, eager to see what comes next.

Fun and dumb

Fun and dumb, everyone can enjoy an anime like this is just dumb fun without thinking, its just like a trash food, it's enjoyable but you know its bad for your body, in this case this show is bad for your brain, this show its just enjoyable and the creators know that, its not neccesary to have interesting characters or plot lines its just fun and that's ok, the show its just all over the place and sometimes its kinds convoluted but dont matter because its fun and its going to have a lot more seasons because its popular for the incredible animation and soundtrack, so lets enjoy this and stop nitpicking guys ok.
