This is the television film debut for Lexsy McKowen, who plays Sage Morning Star, and for Harry Daniel Davis, who plays Harris. This is the TV film directorial debut for Bruce D. Johnson, who also plays the officiant in this film; this is actually his first in-person acting role; he previously performed voice acting in a TV film.
Sage is said to be part of the Miwuk tribe. The Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation people were one of the original tribes of Yosemite National Park and surrounding areas of what is now the state of California. Archeological evidence shows Native Americans living in Yosemite Valley for 5,500 years, sustained by the natural resources provided by this unique environment.
A photographer carries their camera with the strap around their neck or in their bag while walking. It is never carried casually in the hand or with the strap over one shoulder as Cindy Busby did in several scenes throughout the movie.
