Lola has hurt her left arm and has to go to the police station in the early hours of the morning to pick up Lorenzo, her son who was arrested for hitting a young Moroccan man. There she meets Maru, the mother of Lorenzo's friend, and discovers that her children are "skinheads."

After enduring her mother's scolding, Lola looks out at the beach and remembers the moments when she was happy. Lola meets Maru and asks for her help in finding Lorenzo, who has run away again. Rodrigo returns from Barcelona.

Lola reflects on the stigmas and prejudices that marked her upbringing and that of her children. Loco contacts Inés and offers her a deal. Inés looks through a manuscript of her mother's children's stories.

Rodrigo finds out that Lorenzo is in the hospital and is worried about how his son's behavior could affect his candidacy. Juana tells Rodrigo that she knows how he managed to bury the matter of his son and avoid a complaint.

Lorenzo, in a wheelchair, leaves the hospital just in time to celebrate his birthday at Pilar's house. On the way, Lola sees Lorenzo get tense at the sight of two skinheads. At night, Maru and El Loco visit Lola's house.
