Although Sunny Sandler and Sadie Sandler have worked with their dad Adam Sandler before, this is their acting debut with him in a supporting role instead of as the main character.

There's a scene where the character Andy Goldfarb is dribbling a basketball through the retirement home and yells out "Goldfarb rules!", reminiscent of the O'Doyles' catchphrase in Billy Madison where they chant "O'Doyle Rules!"
