Season one reminds me of 60's sci-fi and it's gritty. I have no idea what the budget was but it's done beautifully the premise is great , the story . costumes, scenery, characters- the characters are excellent. It's So well cast and acted - if your a fan of this genre - actually if your not even - this is worth checking out , enjoy!

This series is well worth the time for your attention. It says a lot about the world we live in without becoming preachy. The production value is very good, and such a refreshing change from the Hollywood style we are normally bombarded with.

In my opinion the plot of the movie is weak. There are a lot of illogical moments. In the beginning of the movie we can see the poor with dirty faces living in the favelas and wearing ragged clothes. Despite the fact that living in tough and hungry conditions of favelas makes people aggressive, criminal and cruel, characters of the movie are friendly and open. The main strange moment, why rich elite selects and assimilates the part of the poor, who survive after the selection, it is more likely to hate this elite and due to that can be destructive to the elite. The next moment, why the poor don't sew up their clothes or they don't have needles and threads? Also their faces are dirty but hair is clean and tidy, the question is, they have water only for washing hair but not for cleaning face?
