Films include Almodovar’s I’m So Excited and Coixet’s Yesterday Never Ends.
A total of 11 Spanish films have selected for the Made in Spain section of the 61st San Sebastian Festival (Sept 20-28).
The selection includes:
15 Años Y Un Día (15 Years + 1 Day)
Gracia Querejeta
The latest film from Gracia Querejeta won four awards at the Malaga Film Festival, including Best Film. The relationship between a conflictive teenager and his grandfather Max, a retired soldier. When Jon is expelled from school, Marga, his mother, decides to pack him off to Max in the hope that he will bring him back into line. The two will confront their limitations and their fears.

Pedro Almodovar's I'm So Excited (Los Amantes Pasajeros), Isabel Coixet's Yesterday Never Ends (Ayer No Termina Nunca) and Neus Ballus' The Plague (La Plaga) are three of the dozen titles selected for San Sebastian's Made in Spain section. Almodovar's airplane comedy and Coixet's Berlin Film Festival entry about a troubled romance will play out alongside Ballus' Barcelona-set film about five people surviving Spain's economic crisis. San Sebastian's Made in Spain section aims to present "some of the best" Spanish productions of the year.
