Sweet, funny and very timely!

This new web series was written by Jane Espenson (of Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Gilmore Girls, Torchwood...you know her, the list goes on and on) and Brad "Cheeks" Bell (you're gonna know him soon enough). The laughs keep coming interspersed with so many sweet, touching moments that anyone who has ever been in love can relate to. The cast is gorgeous and the writing brilliant. Imagine what they could do with a network budget considering how beautifully they produced this series on a limited budget. Open your mind and your heart, and you will see that this series is exactly what the entertainment industry and the American public need right now!

Husbands is a must watch series

I love "Husbands". It reminds me of the sharp wit that was in classic sitcoms you might see on TV Land. The comedy is subtle and at no ones expense. Jane Espenson has long been my favorite writer. She has had her hand in "Buffy", "Caprica" "Gilmore Girls" and the new "Once Upon A Time". Husbands shares that same quick witted dialog. Brad Bell AKA "Cheeks" is impossible not to fall in love with. Alessandra and Sean round out the cast. Each episode is 2 minutes. You can get caught up on your lunch hour. Give it a try and review. Let's get a second season of this innovative comedy.

Tears of laughter, I kid you not.

"Husbands" is uniquely entertaining. I expected to enjoy the show given that it is a co-creation by Jane Espenson, who is a true goddess of the written word. I expected to like it all the more because it springs from the quick-witted mind of Cheeks (Brad Bell, co-writer & star), who has created a number of comedic video gems on his YouTube Channel: GoCheeksGo. I was happy to see Alessandra Torresani was going to be able to showcase the natural humor she possesses in a way that we have yet to see on film.

But for all these expectations, the show is SO MUCH MORE than I could have hoped it would be... It is amazing. From first to last, scene upon scene - I was happy with what I saw, and eager to see more.

So what is my review? The show is smart, hilarious and so damn FUN to watch. I'm more than a little bit addicted. Make no mistake, this show is one to watch, folks!

Watch, recommend and share it with all your friends and family. The fans, Team Husbands, are a determined and vocal group - ever expanding in our love for the show, the characters and the creators of "Husbands" the Series.

Husbands

I thoroughly enjoyed Husbands Season 1! The premise is smart and fresh, the characters likable and well-written, and the acting is great. I laughed--a lot--but I especially enjoyed the fact that there were moments that were sincerely touching, too. The fact is this: although it may appear to be "about" gay marriage, Husbands is really about the universal problems or situations people "in love" or in a marriage find themselves in. I'm not gay, nor am I currently married, but the series made me laugh (and cry) because it's simply about human emotions/foibles that anyone can relate to. I'm just sorry it's not a network series--oh, wait, I barely turn on my television anymore--so never mind! ;) REALLY looking forward to Season 2!

The webseries the world needs to see!

Featuring the starstudded cast of Alessandra Toressani (Caprica), Sean Hemeon (True Blood) & Cheeks (Webstar & executive of lifestyle blog, Weyume) and written by the ever-talented Jane Espenson (lets be honest, what show hasn't she written on?) - Husbands promised to be a sure fire winner from the start.

With short episodes packed with more laughs and quirkly lines than most TV shows manage to fit into an hour - Husbands the series will have you laughing and quoting the show for days.

The first marriage equality webseries did not disappoint. With as many tender moments as hilarious ones. Fall in love with the cast instantly and hop on the train and take the ride with newly weds Brady Kelly and Cheeks as they try to piece together a marriage and make it work.

"They're doing it wrong. But that's their right!"

Set in a world where everybody has the freedom to marry - they live in a world that works. A world that makes sense. A world not widely explored anywhere on TV - making this show truly revolutionary and a breath of fresh air - a show that will hopefully pave the path for other shows in the future.

Dive into the show with an open mind. Fall in love. Take the journey.

Husbands The Series is your new addiction.

Embrace it. Love it. And spread the word so we get season 2!!!!

Husbands Season 2 is almost here!

Husbands is such a funny and sweet story. I laughed and laughed but then had tears in my eyes. Choosing Sean Hemeon as Brady, Cheeks' husband, was perfect casting. I love the two of them together; they have so many hilarious and tender moments. It's amazing that so much was packed into the short episodes in Season 1.

From the little bit we know about Season 2, it sounds like a whole new concept since the first season - longer episodes and many guest stars. Jane Espenson and Brad Bell, the creators of Husbands, are both creative geniuses so anything can happen this time around! Joss Whedon will be Brady's agent and I can't wait to see him in this acting role, along with many other familiar big names. I'm so excited for Season 2 - hurry and get here August 15th!

Swoon

I love this show.

It's funny, it's sweet and it's romantic.

It really is the first Gay themed show to really capture my imagination, and feel like it represents, and was made for, me.

Queer As Folk was unapologetic about demonstrating rampant sexuality. Husbands is unapologetic about showing how men can build a deeply loving relationship. However, it also never steps away from showing the physical signs of two men in love; unlike say Will & Grace where Gay loving was portrayed with a hug, or a manly pat on the shoulder.

From the first episode to the last, of the first season, the quality never wavers. Bring on Season 2.

Prepare to fall in love...

Jane Espenson and Brad Bell have created and written Husbands, the freshest sitcom out there today. This is cutting edge, current, and not only packed with laughs but the most tender moments I've seen in a long time. Brad Bell is not only the creator and writer but the star of the show as the character, Cheeks. What an incredible talent he is. Keep your eye on Brad - he's going to be a superstar.

The other two main characters are Sean Hemeon as Brady and Alessandra Torresani as Haley. The creators could not have picked two better actors for these parts. Brady is so good as Cheeks' new husband. He's handsome, has great comedic timing and plays perfectly against Cheeks' shenanigans. Haley inserts her foot between Brady and Cheeks and tries to hold on to her relationship with her best friend, Cheeks, while he is attempting to nourish this new, delicate relationship. Haley is a natural comedian and hilarity ensues.

Season 2 is about to begin. I recommend that anyone who hasn't seen Season 1 yet to catch up before August 15th.

Season 2 is almost here!

Anyone who hasn't watched all 11 episodes of Husbands Season 1 needs to rush and watch immediately! You will fall in love with all the characters and be waiting with huge anticipation for Season 2. Brad Bell (Cheeks), Sean Hemeon (Brady), and Alessandra Torresani (Haley) mesh perfectly together. Haley is trying hard to stay best friends with Cheeks while causing a few problems for the newlyweds.

Season 2 starts in only 9 days and the three main characters are sure to be hilarious, yet sweet and loving at the same time. This new season will be sprinkled with a lot of guest stars with names everybody will recognize. August 15th will be here soon. Don't miss out on this excellent series!

Such fun!

Love Husbands! Such a fun, poignant, relevant exploration of relationships. Whatever your perspective, this is an enjoyable ride. The work that Brad and Jane do together is wonderful. The cast is fantastic. Alessandra is hilarious. The byplay between Brad and Sean is lovely. So looking forward to season two and whatever else comes after it. I am proud to be a supporter of this project! Being able to participate in the creative process online and through things like Kickstarter makes me so happy for the future of web series. Here's to all the great things we can all make together without the complications and restrictions of the old systems. On with the new way! Which of course has its own complications and restrictions :).

Who Knew It Only Takes Two Minutes?

Two or three minutes is the length of each 'Husbands' webisode. I was surprised to find myself both completely satiated yet yearning for more each week. Each webisode has a complete arc and includes a cliffhanger ending. You will laugh out loud, grin madly, and depress the play button again. Interestingly enough, you may never look at fish in quite the same manner.

Some will say the writers took a romantic comedy standard and and simply turned it on its head by casting two men in the leads. That is a simplistic view of the series. The 'Husbands' team delivers a full romp for the emotions in each webisode. Furthermore, the husbands themselves have a very palpable chemistry on the screen.

This series is incredibly innovative from its opening webisode to its format to its very public fund raising for a second series. However, this series is equally traditional with its fish out of water moments, an amusing yet exasperating best friend, and its allegiance to the guilds: screenwriter, actor, etc.

Whichever network finally writes the winning deal memo for 'Husbands' will ascend a rung on the evolutionary ladder of television.

Packs in the laughs

The 2-minute episodes of this amazing web-series ensure that not a second is wasted and it packs in more laughs than many traditional TV comedy series.

Jane Espenson and Brad Bell have created a gem: not just funny, but with characters that are easy to care about, even in the short amount of time the audience spends with them.

Joss Whedon's decision to get involved in his first speaking role is a true endorsement of the quality of this series.

Watch for the laughs, stay for the love. Can't wait for Season 2 on August 15th!

Brilliant Web-Show for a Brilliant World

Husbands is the hilarious web-series from acclaimed TV Writer, Jane Espenson (Torchwood, Firefly) and YouTube sensation Brad Bell (or Cheeks as he's more fabulously known), focusing on the age old "Did we just accidentally get married in Vegas?"-RomCom setup with a notable difference; it's a same sex marriage. Camp TV star, Cheeks, and Basesball hero, Brady, find themselves hitched after a wild night in the city of sin, and now must deal with the oncoming media onslaught and whether or not to actually make the relationship work.

It's great to see a series all about equality really take off, although it doesn't rely on this as its only strength, as what you'll find is a refreshingly fun and hilarity strewn series. Espenson has taken a tired formula and revitalised it with a new-world energy, teeming with spirit and charm, plus a healthy dose of camp to keep the laughs fresh.

The way I see it, this is future at work: a bold new series focusing on a community previously unspoken for exclusively in this kind of media. Embracing the risk of an untapped source material in gay newly-weds, and sticking it on the web, network-free, proves how television is evolving to meet the open-eyed way of thinking the world has come to.

And what with mega guest stars turning up now and again (Nathan Fillion, anyone?), it looks like these 2 minute episodes are truly some of the internet's finest serial content. So roll on Husbands, because you're in it for the long haul!

Smart, timely entertainment!

Take two extremely talented writers and creators; Jane Espenson and Brad Bell. Add 3 actors with chemistry, beauty, and awesome comedic timing; Brad Bell, Sean Hemeon, and Alessandra Torresani. Add amazing guest stars like Nathan Fillion and Michael Buckley. Mix in a timely and hilarious premise of an accidental Las Vegas wedding between gay celebrities just recently able to legally marry and you have a comedy hit whose time has come. No wonder this series has such a loyal fan base that they donated over $60,000 to fund the even more promising Season 2. I'm a huge fan of Husbands, and I really believe that this series could be a game-changer. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and go watch right now. Take it from me: you'll want to be ready for Season 2!

Must see OC (Online Content)

Husbands is such a timely series with a message, but is not in the least 'preachy'. It is funny, tight, very well written, acted, directed and produced and elicits thoughts and considerations while delivering laughter and love.

Beyond the content, which in itself is ground breaking, the format and delivery is new and exciting. Season 1 set the first standard and season 2, with it's Kickstarter funding and online as well as mainstream buzz is setting a whole new standard for the brave and talented to aspire to.

While online content has been done (and done well) before, what we have here is a new generation that has raised the stakes. Rather than saying this is good enough to be on network TV, what should be said is why can't the networks do something this good, relevant and worthwhile.

Totes awesomeness!!!

This groundbreaking web series is amazing! The writing and dialog, witty banter, acting, you name it.

Jane Espenson and Cheeks have hit it out of the park (as Brady would say), bringing the realities of celebrity gay marriage to the forefront, with all of the trials and tribulations that everyone has to deal with crammed in as well. Cheeks and Sean Hemeon are perfectly adorable as the newlyweds, and Alessandra Torresani is perfect as the perky best friend. And let's not forget the adorable Jack!

I've gotta mention that my favorite line is the very last one of the season :-)

Enjoyable show no matter how many times you watch it!

Talented cast, interesting characters, excellent writing. Very enjoyable viewing. I highly recommend to all.

The concept is original and very tastefully done. I enjoy the addition of Beau, the new couple's dog. The story lines are jam-packed with ideas, dialog, and action. Each show ends with you wanting more.

I look forward to watching many more season's of Husbands, and wouldn't it be great if it made it to prime time television. What a refreshing, exciting concept that would be!

Tune in, you will not be disappointed. The acting is superb, and the writing is wonderful. Not to be missed.

August 15th!

Husbands is so well done and so much better than most of the shows on TV. I can't believe some network hasn't picked it up. Season 2 promises to be even better and will surely be groundbreaking for sitcom content.

The series has a huge audience - I see comments every day of new people just discovering it and being excited for the new season. Many fans watch it over and over - I frequently go and watch it again. It's just that good. You will smile, laugh and then cry - so many emotions for just two minute episodes.

August 15th is on the calendar of thousands of fans waiting for the unveiling of Season 2. I can't wait!

Celebrate the Love - Husbands is about Love and Laughter

What the world needs now is love. Husbands the series brings a smile to my face, laughter to my soul and love to my heart. Husbands series 1 was a happy place to be after a long day at work or dealing with the negative nellies in life.

Dislike slow moving shows? No problem. Husbands is fast paced with witty explosive lines, straight (pun intended) to the point of the plot. A modern couple struggling to find their groove while dealing with the media blitz surrounding their somewhat sudden marriage.

I've lost count of the times I watched it and I've shared it with so many people. A web series at the top of my list. So go, watch it and enjoy it! And then rejoice in the fact Husbands Series 2 is only 12 days away!! Makes me smile a happy and yes, sexy smile.

Favorite Webshow Ever

I loved Husbands the second I saw episode 1, "Waking Up in Vegas." The way Cheeks says "I'm in the tub" with such excitement, won me over instantly. If you've seen Cheeks in any of his YouTube videos, you know what to expect in terms of his comedic timing, Husbands is a rare show that is both sweet and hilarious. All eleven episodes are brilliant and delicious. The amount of physical comedy reminds me of Seinfeld or The Office. So worth watching again and again and again. The last episode leaves you wanting so much more. Thank goodness the new season will soon be here. This is a series worth following. This is my favorite web show ever!

Amazing, Inspirational and much needed!!

"They're doing it wrong. But that's their right!"

This show is amazing and revolutionary. It's very inspiring to both gay and straight youth in that marriage is about love and everyone loves, gay, straight, black and white.

It is a before it time comedy series and I really hope that in the near future it appears on my TV as this will make a lot of people consider the need for gay marriage.

I am also pretty sure that Obama is a fan (this show was totally what caused him to announce he is cool with gay marriage) Truth!

This show as big names or soon to be big names associated with. Writer - Jane Espenson (Ellen, Once Upon a Time, Torchwood) Executive Producer, Actor - Brad "Cheeks" Bell (Web Personality, WeYuMe) Actor - Sean Haemeon (True Blood, Criminal Minds) Actress - Alexandra Torresani (American Horror Story, Battlestar Galactica Caprica)

I can't wait for season 2!!! :D

A sweet, funny perspective on marriage

Although this show is about a same sex couple, I think it is a great show that is relevant to any relationship.

It's not perfect, but it is absolutely one of the best web series out there. The characters are great and the depiction of the ups and downs of whirlwind relations is spot on (if a little exaggerated).

The series is written by one of the actors (Cheeks) and the wonderfully talented Jane Espenson (since you're already on IMDb, look her up - she's written for every series worth watching). Her trademark wit and banter is evident and is one of the high lights.

There are also some really fun cameo appearances from familiar faces.

The series is very short and well worth the time to watch - so what are you waiting for?

Fantastic Web Comedy

Husbands is about two people who wake up in Vegas married to each other because they had a few too many the night before. Think you've heard this story before? This time it's two men who end up married after a night out celebrating marriage equality, making this web series a unique new take on an old story. The writers even hang a lampshade on the fact that if this were a heterosexual couple, it'd be a 'hackneyed premise' to quote Cheeks.

The short episodes are hilarious and full of snappy dialogue that leaves you wanting more. The three characters are well fleshed out for the how abbreviated the episodes were and that's due to the great writing and the talented actors. Season 2 premieres August 15th and I cannot wait to see more from Team Husbands!
