A mysterious caller calls into True For You about the unsolved disappearance of Janie Melynk. They claim to know what happened and about Janie's friend, Ben Miller, who started it all trying to gain listens on his struggling podcast.
Ben's plan is set in motion when Janie agrees to go missing. Ben and Ezra begin recording the podcast with help from a begrudging Veronica. Their excitement is shaken when Veronica begins to worry about Janie.
Ezra is questioned about the break in at the apartment by Dodgewood police. Ben and Veronica hurry away from the cabin, shaken by what they saw. The trio tries to figure our what Where the Leaves Fall Purple means.
Ben and Ezra have their first interview on Ben's podcast who shares a shocking story about Daniel with them. Veronica finds a concerning package left on Janie's doorstep and goes on a mission to find the sender.
