I can't even pay attention to the show for the stupid clackity clicking sound effects they somehow think are prevalent with texting. Does your phone make a noise when you text? It doesn't make any sense. At all. The rest of the show is okay . It's your typical true crime program. I wish I could somehow mute that sound. #TextMeWhenYouGetHome became a viral, worldwide movement following the death of Sarah Everard. The slogan sparked awareness around the vulnerability women feel while out in public alone. In this true-crime docuseries, each episode follows the case of a woman who has been abducted, harmed, or even killed while she was out by herself. In several episodes, survivors reveal their own story.
It's annoying when they make comments using the texting sounds. It makes it feel like it's more important than the actual story. I hate it..................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is sad but it is a story which needs to be told. This true-crime docuseries is probably one of the better true-crime docuseries I have watched in a while. The true-crime docuseries is a welcomed changed from the other true-crime docuseries I have watched on the docuseries streaming series on Netflix. Usually other true-crime docuseries focus too much on the true-crime docuseries and not a lot of the true-crime docuseries, or any of the true-crime docuseries's other elements can be used in the making of the true-crime docuseries. What I know about true-crime docuseries can make me feel happy with watching it again.
The show is interesting and a reasonably good true crime documentary that is worth watching for true crime fans. Sometimes the narration, music, and pacing true crime shows can be deterrents to an otherwise interesting story, but here that's not the case.
However, one flaw is that, like too many such shows, the show does a poor job of connecting the dots. You can't assume the audience knows anything. Connect the dots for us. Make the story easy to follow. Fill in the gaps and explained how otherwise inexplicable key events occurred.
Also I continue to wish that shows would help their guest interviewees clean up their grammar. You are teaching people how to speak English through this show. It is amazing how many times humans unintentionally used double negatives that reverse the intent of their sentence. It is amazing how many times humans use throwaway pet phrases like "like", "kind of", "right?", and "you know". But worse than all of these are the plain grammatical errors such as "had went". Even TV reporters who are interviewed use such grammar. They should know better. They are journalists.

Although I ALWAYS tell my daughter, be careful, stay alert & pay attn to your surroundings when leaving your house as your walking to your car, look up, look back & when your getting in your car. I also tell her to be alert when leaving her job & getting into her car. This show is amazing & I love to watch it, even though the things that happen to these beautiful girls/women, could happen to any1. Ladies, stay alert, pay attn to your surroundings & always look around b4 getting in your car, bus or train. Always stay vigilant & have your keys in your hand, with the pointy side of it, just in case. This show teaches what could happen 2u, if you're not alert. When is the new season beginning? I can't wait!
