After making his daytime television debut last month as an original cast member of the new soap opera “Beyond the Gates,” actor Maurice Johnson is set to exit his role as Dr. Ted Richardson in May, with Keith D. Robinson (“A Million Little Things”) replacing him.
Since news of the casting switch first broke last Friday, Johnson had been reposting and resharing comments by some of the show’s most loyal fans who’ve wondered what may have occurred, if anything in particular, to spur the change.
While the show has not yet addressed any changes to its cast, Johnson did take to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to share that he’s got a little more than 30 episodes left to go before his final episode airs and that he’ll be back on screen as soon as Thursday.

The following contains major spoilers from NCIS Season 22, Episode 11, "For Better or Worse," which debuted Monday, Feb. 3 on CBS.
NCIS Season 22, Episode 11, "For Better or Worse," is the prime example of a TV procedural. It revolves around one of the oldest TV crime drama tropes -- a fake marriage -- and the plotting is very predictable, up to and including the reveal that really isn't one. But the episode works in spite of all that, because it's both fun and efficient.
"For Better or Worse" revolves around Nick Torres and Jessica Knight being thrust into a fictitious relationship in order to preserve Torres' cover with a criminal organization. The entire plot is just a lead-up to the ceremony and the hijinks that occur therein. Yet fans knowing exactly what's happening...

If NCIS is going to stage a wedding, it’s going to be done right. For the February 3 episode, “For Better or Worse,” in order to take down the mob — the promo shows that Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) has been undercover trying to infiltrate the criminal gang — the team stages a fake wedding for two of its own. “We do go full out,” Rocky Carroll told TV Insider while discussing the January 27 episode, which he directed. “Vance is sort of the father of the bride. It’s all about a wedding and everything that goes into the wedding. ‘What do you mean? How much are we going to pay from it? Why do we need to have a cash bar? Do we need…?’ Those are the conversations that we have in the making of this. It becomes one of these things that, at first it seems like the worst idea on the planet,...

When he isn't making us laugh on shows like "Harley Quinn" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" (not to mention in ever-present "Seinfeld" reruns and that one "Criminal Minds" episode where he has an incredible wig), Jason Alexander works behind the camera as a director, writer, and producer. By this point in his considerable career, the actor and artist has helmed several noteworthy projects, including episodes of hit sitcoms like "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Young Sheldon," plus, yes, "Criminal Minds."
Despite the strong trivia culture surrounding Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld's masterpiece comedy "Seinfeld," lots of people don't actually seem to know about Alexander's directorial contribution to the show. He actually cut his teeth as a filmmaker on the season 3 episode "The Good Samaritan," which became Alexander's first-ever credit as a director in 1992. Later in the show's run, he also directed two clip show episodes, although corny, self-congratulatory clip shows...

Apparently, the actor even passed up work in Los Angeles to stick close to home. Here’s more of what you should know about Johnson, who plays Nicole Dupree Richardson’s husband Ted.

Rebel Moon isn’t really the Zack Snyder Star Wars everyone was always characterizing it as… but what if it was?
“When Rebel Moon releases in theaters… it’ll mark the end of a 10-year journey. A journey that began with a 2013 rumor that director Zack Snyder was working on some kind of Star Wars movie. That rumor, it turns out, was not true. At the time, Snyder had the idea of taking one of his stories and putting it into the world of Star Wars, but it never got much further than that. You can’t help but wonder though, in the words of another Disney-owned franchise, ‘What if?’”
