From the release announcing the deal: Park City, January 21: Mundial, the recently announced international sales joint venture of prolific Hollywood film financing and sales company Im Global and Canana, one of Latin America’s top production and distribution companies, has acquired international rights to the critically acclaimed Who Is Dayani Cristal?, it was announced jointly today by Mundial Vice President Cristina Garza and Canana partner Pablo Cruz. The film, which was the first film to screen at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, opening the World Cinema Documentary section, is directed by Marc Silver, and produced by Lucas Ochoa, Thomas Benski, and Gael García Bernal. Bernal also stars in the film.
