The cast of this film doesn't have a single professional actor, and one could tell that in just the first few minutes of its run. The acting is so wooden and so bad that it overshadows the many other flaws with this film. The only role that didn't seem wooden all the time was that of Reason, played by Byron Lambie. He did have 16 film credits for his late life career of just over 10 years before he died at age 82 in January 2020. Most of the rest of the cast have just this one, or two or four film credits. And, this is a dozen years after this film was made.
"Stagecoach Santa" truly is the most amateurish film I've ever seen. Most of the characters are way overboard wooden. It's as though each one is frozen and trying to remember his or her next line when they finally speak. Everything else about this film except the little bit of scenery is also amateurish. The small house that is supposed to serve as Aunt Liz's ranch home on the outside looks like what it really is - a one-room shack, with maybe a loft for a bed. But then, the scenes supposedly inside show a living room, a kitchen and at least two of what are implied to be three or four bedrooms.
Something like this in a movie, that so defies the senses of what an audience sees on screen, does a movie in and spells curtains for it with the audience. The little bit of plot, with a piecemeal screenplay and piecemeal camera shooting are further evidence that this is a very amateurish production. I notice the credits at the end listed a couple of acting coaches. When was the last time - or any other time, that one has seen a movie that listed acting coaches at the end? I've never seen it on any Hollywood movie or any other film ever. Having done some stage work and acting in college, and having seen many a good high school and grade school play with family members, I would not have wanted any personal credit associated with a film as bad as this one.
Thankfully, it was less than an hour run. No TV network aired this film. And, I can't imagine where there might have been a local TV station that would have shown it.
