50 Cent, the Grammy-winning rapper and star of such high-octane films as “Setup” and “Freelancers,” is curating his own action channel on Roku.

In partnership with Lionsgate, the free, ad-supported channel will launch Dec. 10 on The Roku Channel. It will feature 50 Cent’s personal favorite films and TV series drawn from Lionsgate’s library of 20,000-plus titles, including “The Expendables,” “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” “Rambo” and a handful of movies starring the rapper himself. The 50 Cent Action Channel will also run episodes of “Power,” the drama series executive produced by 50 Cent that spawned the Power Universe.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon now has three official first-look images that showcase the return of Norman Reedus in the title role. Daryl is one of the most important characters in the post-apocalypse drama The Walking Dead, which ran on AMC from 2010 through 2022. Now that the main branch of the series has concluded, the franchise will follow his character to France in a six-episode spinoff set to premiere later this year.

Exclusive: Apple is solidifying the cast for Season 2 of its sports drama Swagger. Orlando Jones (Winning Time) and Shannon Brown (Setup) have joined as new series regulars, and Christina Jackson and Sean Anthony Baker, who recurred in Season 1, have been promoted to regulars.

Created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, Swagger is inspired by NBA star Kevin Durant’s experiences as a kid. It explores the world of elite youth basketball clubs, the players, their families and coaches and “the game within the game.” Off the court, the show reveals what it’s like to grow up in America. Stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Isaiah Hill, Shinelle Azoroh, Quvenzhané Wallis, Caleel Harris, Tristan Mack Wilds, Tessa Ferrer, James Bingham, Solomon Irama, Ozie Nzeribe and Jason Rivera are reprising their roles for the second season.

Jones will play Emory Price, the athletic director at a nearby prep school. Brown will play Cj Ryder, an elite high school basketball player.

If you’re still wondering how Eminem wound up performing at this year’s Academy Awards, credit Justin Timberlake for the idea — sort of.

Timberlake opened the 2017 ceremony with a performance of his hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and since then, the Oscars has embraced including high-energy musical numbers to liven up the telecast. Written and directed by July, Kajillionaire follows con artists Theresa and Robert, who spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a kind stranger, Melanie (Gina Rodriguez), into joining their next scheme, completely shaking up Old Dolio’s routine. Her unlikely connection with Melanie begins to challenge Old Dolio’s odd and stoic reality — and she finds herself suddenly caught between the only family she has ever known and the prospect of total freedom.
