This is my first "allstars" format from the ever-expanding and slightly creaky RuPaul franchise and so I wasn't accustomed to a lot of the format decisions on display here but a lot of them don't work particularly well. Going into it though - I was hyped, there were some solid queens on show and it promised to be fun. The eliminations though, were poorly constructed, and ended up favoured tactics over talent which soured the experience somewhat. I call this the "Big Brother 4" effect - and it means you get fireworks early on but you end up with an underwhelming finale. Otherwise though it was still a proper hoot to watch, really nice to see some underrated international queens get a chance to shine in front of Ru.

Vs The World starts with a bang and ends as the most basic and uninteresting showing Drag Race has ever offered. I've never been less invested in a season finale and I really don't see anyone putting in on another international season when they'll know the goal is for the queens to be as mediocre as possible to get to the end.
When this show is based on talent, it has stakes and intrigue - once you take away all that, you're basically watching a lazily written sitcom. I was genuinely bored.

I was so excited for this season. Seeing contestants from different franchises together was making me mad. Queens on the talent show proved they all belong there. It's sad to see eliminations. I'd wish there were more episodes to once again get to know all the queens, but it shouldn't be too serious - there's no money on the line anyways.
Stay tough, Drag Race <3.

I love how angry this season is making some of the fans. The queens sign up to play the game, and some of the queens are playing the game. If you're not competing to send home the best after being the best of the week, then what's the point of competing? A fan-favorite queen eliminated another fan-favorite queen, and then that fan-favorite queen gets a dose of her own medicine and gets eliminated the following week.
That's the game. Don't rank the show's ratings just because you're upset your favorite queen went home. That's what they all signed up for. All of them. Stop sending them hate. All of the queens are friends, or at least civil, outside of the show anyways. There is no reason to get THAT upset, y'all. It's just TV! Enjoy the game and support your favorites without dragging down the ones you don't like.

I think it's highly underrated because people are PRESSED because they're favourites dropped like flies - but this is the first All Stars season that the format was used for cutthroat gameplay like it was always intended to be.
The winner had an underrated first half and a very good second half. Overall a season full of bright spots, engaging drama and a very deserving winner.

This season has been a disappointment to say the least...If you enjoy seeing bad performers kept safe and think the best should go home, this one is for you!
Hear me out. Experiencing queens from all around the world really makes a great experience. I understand that the All Star rules really feel harsh but it's not the first time we've experienced something like this.
It was a very chill season. All of the queens are so funny and good. The top four was exactly what I wanted. Besides....the one that got away.

The first episode was one thing, but we're to #3 and the production messing with everything is already out of control. To save the show from being the world vs 1 UK queen they are protecting queens from the bottom and offering others up as bait. This thing is a mess. The show has the same problem of the UK version of being poor and offering no good prizes to these queens. It gives queens no good reason to want to win the lipsyncs and essentially makes them try and avoid burning bridges/passing off fans all for the opportunity of a co-song with rupaul? They put the judging on the queens to make the choice of who goes and to keep their control they make sure to rig the bottom to try and save the queens they want.
This has tarnished the brand significantly. The format doesn't work. We were left with the dregs. Basically the show was fuelled by these queens insecurities. I think this was even worse than Australia and Italia. Painful.

I am a massive Drag Race fan. This was a great concept and had an exciting line up... but what a waste. All the best queens went first- only 2 queens in the finale even had a win, it says it all. They REALLY need to rethink AllStars rules.
Terrible snatch game. Weak group song. Boring final.
And don't get me started on the winner. One note all the way through- just very annoying in general. Won because they were the best of a bad bunch of lip syncers.
Thankfully, the season was short. Every cloud and all that!

Some Queens are really not giving their best as they normally could but apparently they don't even care to and the judging is far worse than any other season. Could just roll a dice and call it a day, would be easier.
With so much potential in this cast, I was ready to have my expectations blown away . Three episodes in and the strange editing choices and "holier than thou" attitudes emanating from some of the queens are starting to make them unlikeable and production unwatchable.
My guess is the finalists will not be from the smaller franchises which is so disappointing.

I haven't watched the entire franchise, but this is the worst season I ever watched in dragrace herstory.
By the announcement, i thought finally something was coming and it would be good but episode by episode my hopes diminished more.
Especially while watching the last 2-3 episodes, i thought maybe I am boring watching a million seasons of drag race in 1 year but no, US season 14 is keeping my interest alive by every week. This one was bad. With these drag race stars, putting on that show really needs talent.

I was so looking forward to this, seeing top queens competing from all over the world! The cast was promising but the rules of the shows totally killed the excitement early on. I get that it's a reality TV show but the all stars rules are not fun (they never were) and we lose talented queens way before we could see and enjoy their true potential. Early seasons of the show was great because it was a real competition and there was also drama, not because the producers produced it but because it came naturally. I've watched practically all seasons and there's always a bit of manipulation here and there but this time they just went too far. How they cut in the crying Pangina was just so heartbreaking and cringe at the same time. This season doesn't treat queens with respect, it uses them to make noise on social media and create more engagement. I get Rupaul wants his Emmy but this is a disrespectful and a mean way to try to get it. I get some people like the drama, but if I wanted this sort of drama I'd be watching some lame show like Big Brother. I'm a fan of Drag Race because it gives the platform for talented queens to show off their artistry - and this season has ruined that. After watching this, you leave with a bad taste in your mouth and just hope they won't do another all stars season. The only highlight was the Snatch Game that Begga carried and some of the looks the queens brought. It was also nice to see queens coming from spin-offs getting international attention. Other than that not much to like - you know a season is bad when you just want to finish it so you can just cross it off of your list. Save yourself some time and watch earlier non-all stars seasons. I'm currently watching Canada season 2 and it's so much more fun - it's professional, the judging is on point and there are clear reasons behind each elimination so it feels right all the way. This season does not deserve the attention it gets.
They need to stop making UK shows, it's clear the whole show is strictly controlled and artificial, like all other RuPaul shows in the UK.
The challenges and judges are becoming so plain and boring that it's now just another trash reality tv show.
Thanks for Spain and Canada, otherwise this would mean the end of Drag Race as something to look forward to.

UK vs The World sounds promising at first; international queens from various parts of the Drag Race franchise competing with one another in All Stars fashion, and whilst the queens were enjoyable as usual, the season suffers from a lot of the same problems Drag Race seasons suffer from - questionable judging, forced narratives and, something that the normal All Stars seasons veered away from for good reason, a competition format that encourages the queens to eliminate the best competitors, which only lessens the quality of the series.
