Been anF1 fan for years. This movie was authentic in the way it covered the racing although a little more of the garage action would have been good. Sadly, only F1 fans would have recognised characters that we saw, like Gunther and Stefano . Fans would also have recognised the dulcid tones of Martin Brundle. I would have enjoyed at least a little of a Free Practice and Quali. Brad Pitts performance was good and believable. Going to watch it again. The back story is believable and suitable and the way it affects Sonny (Brad) is realistic. I also thought that the conclusion of the movie was not only realistic but understandable. Was great to see it early in the Melbourne IMAX!
I absolutely loved this so glad I got to see an early screening with a packed audience only annoying thing was thing was the guy to the left me was a little distracting bro went through a slushy and a large water; I guess a fast paced movie makes someone thirsty. The film is phenomenal though I'm shocked of the haters already there's soul involved.
It's basically car version of Top Gun which is magnificent it's so fast paced in the bulk of it. I don't know much about Formula one, I love Brad Pitt, the director is brilliant and about cinematography! I also love that Kim Boden from Killing Eve was in this he's great and Kerry Condon is one of the most lovely beings!

Never watched F1 before. This was a great introduction to the sport. The races were thrilling, and the humor really hit the mark. Brad Pitt proves he's still a movie star, bringing charisma to every scene. Hans Zimmer's score elevated the intensity, as always. The cinematography captured the speed and danger perfectly. That said, the movie felt a bit too long and could've benefited from tighter pacing. The story wasn't something new. You've seen this underdog story before. Still, it was an exciting, entertaining ride that sparked my interest in Formula 1. Great mix of action, drama, personality and definitely worth watching on the big screen with a crowd.
Stephen King once remarked that the film adaptation of his novel The Shining was akin to "a hot rod without an engine." In doing so, he vocalized an elusive sentiment that many might have felt but never dared to express aloud. His words resonate with my experience watching F1-a cinematic spectacle that dazzled with its visual bravado yet left me yearning for something more profound beneath the surface.
Walking into the theater, my expectations were sky-high, fueled by the promise of high-octane thrills and a narrative that would grip both heart and mind. On screen, F1 delivered an exhilarating display, a veritable feast for the senses. It was, without doubt, a cinematic masterpiece, its artistry woven into every frame, each race scene pulsating with life and energy. Yet, amid the roaring engines and sweeping panoramas, there lingered a sense of hollowness-a depth the film aspired to but never fully reached.
Sunny, the protagonist, radiated charm and likability, his character crafted to be both relatable and enigmatic. However, his past, hinted at through fleeting images-a solitary photo of him as a boy standing beside his father-felt like an unopened chapter. Perhaps the filmmakers intended this mystery, believing that not every story needs to be told in full. Yet, for me, that photograph was a symbol of untapped potential, a narrative thread left dangling, whispering of a backstory that could have added layers to Sunny's journey.
Despite these musings, I found myself enamored with F1 . Its magnetic pull lies in its ability to entertain effortlessly, to sweep the audience into the adrenaline-fueled world of racing where every turn holds the promise of victory or defeat. I would watch it again without hesitation, relishing the spectacle even as I ponder the depths that remained unexplored.
Yet, as the credits rolled and the theater lights brightened, my heart drifted back to Days of Thunder. A film that, despite its age, still holds a sacred space in the heart of this race car aficionado. It is there, amidst the echoes of roaring engines and the scent of burning rubber, that my cinematic soul truly resides.

Just got out of the theater. It was a full theater so I got my tickets weeks in advance. I've never watched anything F1 related in my life. I give it a 7.5/10. The IMAX scenes were fantastic. No shortage of those. The story was a classic underdog story. Still pretty good in my opinion. There was some pretty good comedy mixed in. The amount of advertising from companies was INSANE. There really was a lot.
The music was fantastic. I wish we heard more, but the main songs were barely in the movie. Just bits of it mainly the start of the songs. I was most hyped to hear "Messy" and "Just Keep Watching" but it was only like 15 seconds of each song played back to back. I was really looking forward to hearing the full song in theater but oh well
Worth a one time watch.
