I can't say there isn't a plot. It is generic but they have done it perfectly. The characters are very likeable and makes the series very watchable. This series is actually "kawaii" in true sense. The two main characters and their chemistry are heart warming and so refreshing. Although this is kind of one time series it is very enjoyable.
Maid Sama! started out pretty good and it showed great promise. Unfortunately, Misaki's treatment of Usui, being a complete jerk towards him for no reason over and over again, seemed a bit too much. It gave out that childish vibe like she can't express herself without being an ass. Too bad, because I really liked her apart from that. She seemed like a strong female figure and I highly respect that. I just wish they would've made her evolve more throughout the season. Instead, she stayed stubborn, crushing pretty much every bit of romance under her feet, until the very end. There things started to turn a bit for the better, but it was too little too late.
Seems to me like 99% of this "romance" between the two is from Usui's side which is not only unrealistic but also makes you wonder why he doesn' just give up. I'm sorry to say this but for something that was supposed to be a romantic anime, it sure tried its best to blow out the stem. It's a shame really because this thing had so much potential for growth. Instead, the creators chose to go with a childish version of a "romance."

it's one of my favorite anime.love the story and characters they are perfect . the story is simple and lovely ,it talks about high school girl Misaki Ayuzawa who is strong ,beautiful and aggressive towards boys. she hate boys because her father left her and her mother, sister alone. in her school she treats the boys so bad that every boy hates her but not in the end . usui is a very good looking guy who every girl in school wants (not only in school) ,when Misaki Ayuzawa starts to blame him for making girls cry , he will follow her and knows that she work as a maid in a maid cafe and then the story follows ,i will not tell all the story . i recommend that anime.
The premise is great and the show is funny and cute. Usui is actually kind of creepy and possessive, though. I don't understand why they wrote him that way. He needed to be bad at something and not be amazing at everything, desired by all women, popular, etc. It was just too much. Despite all that, I enjoyed watching and rewatching the show. The romance is cute and satisfying. I'd watch a second season, but it looks like this is it.

Let me start by saying that I originally watched this anime when I was eleven or twelve years old. At the time, I thought it was one of the best anime I had ever seen, and certainly the best anime in the romantic comedy genre. Years later, I decided to watch it again, figuring that I had matured greatly and would hence not enjoy it nearly as much as the first time I watched it. Boy was I wrong.
Yes, this anime is admittedly somewhat stupid. The plot is ridiculous, the characters goofy, the jokes exaggerated, and the romance between the two lead characters in question as drawn-out as any romance in a romantic comedy anime. But did this make me dislike the show? Not at all.
The great thing about Kaichou wa meido-sama is that it really stays true to what it is. It recognizes that it's goofy, ridiculous, and stupid, and it doesn't try to be anything else. And because this show doesn't take itself seriously, it succeeds in being an incredibly entertaining work of art. It genuinely made me laugh more times than I can count. I loved a vast majority of the characters and felt like supporting them. And I actually rooted for the romance between the two romantic leads to work out. In other words, this show truly drew me in and thoroughly entertained me.
But enough about me! Other great things about this anime is the fact that it does not have a "read the manga ending" (a highly unsatisfying ending that has no closure. It steers viewers to read the manga for the full story). This anime ends with an actual ending that ties up loose ends. Well done. Furthermore, the voice acting for the Japanese version with subtitles (not the English dub) is exceptional.
Overall, I still feel that this is one of my favorite anime of all time. I would absolutely recommend it - just know that the show you're getting into is completely ridiculous.
