Freedom!: The day after the ball, Lou and Sophie have found the perfect way to make the most of their gap year: buying an old car. After agreeing to hide their purchase from their parents, the drive to the beach where they meet Jules and Arnaud.

A wonderful day: Lou tries to persuade her mother that they need to keep the car, but the latter sees things very differently. After a more-or-less successful date with a boy, Sophie calls to collect Lou before catching up with Jules and Arnaud in an abandoned school.

Picking up a friendly hitchhiker on the side of the road, Lou and Sophie have no idea what awaits them. To celebrate her birthday and forget the emotions of the day before, Sophie invites her friends to Fafard's house.

An almost dismal failure of a barbecue, unexpected guests, inappropriate revelations: for Lou the never-ending evening could hardly have been worse And when she learns what happened to Sophie, she is determined to do whatever it takes to avenge her best friend.

The rest of the world is just so stupid: Separated from one another for the first time in their lives, Lou and Sophie are dying of boredom. They try to make up for it by spending time with Jules and Arnaud, but an urgent need to visit Sophie's mother pushes them to break the rules once again.
