Thursday with Abie is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and several very funny scenes.I really enjoyed that the show finally touched base with a subject that I had wanted to see them discuss for a while before this episode came out,the fact that Grampa tells many unbelievable stories,this episode looks at that and shows us if some of his stories and or aren't true.I would have liked to have seen the character that was writing about Grampa's life develop a bit more,just a few minutes to find out why he wanted to become a writer and a back story behind his statement."I'll finally be successful in my mothers eyes".Thursday with Abie is nowhere near a highlight of the 21st season,but it's an enjoyable episode.

Grampa is delighted to meet an author who wants to write about his life,but he may have more up his sleeves that it may seem.

I've really enjoyed S21 of the show, there have been some good episodes, and this is another fine example.

With some genuine heart alongside the humour, this was good fun.

The fact these writers have glorified one of the worst moments in War History...the shipwrecked USS Indianapolis. This is just so very wrong in so so many ways!! Really sad to think they couldn't come up with anything else, other than making light of such a terrible string of events.
