Cedeira's mayor, Amparo Seoane, has been murdered. The investigation of the case becomes an obsession for Civil Guard sergeant Maite and literary teacher Tomás, who was the only witness of the murder.
While Amparo is buried, the investigation of her death continues. One of the hypothesis around the death is rumored to be because of political reasons, but a suspect with no cover-up has her car match the description.
