Especially men can get "trapped" in the Friendzone - of course it can happen to women too, but the general sense is that men are way easier to sway back into a relationship mode. Cliches be damned, I know - but even while this tries to be and stay fresh in many regards, it still does rely on certain things we do expect.
Having said that, there is a lot of sexual tension and a lot of drama concerning boyfriends and a group of girls who are helping our main character in his quest to win over a woman he is into. As someone else said "simple but fun". This is quite well distilled - and what you can expect from this movie. It may have a bit more sexual situations than you would have in an American movie of a similar theme but other than that this really stays focused on the ... "Quest". For better or worse - I'd say better because it does work all things considered.

The story of a young man who does not know how to woo women. He ends up in the friendzone a lot. His friends guide him how to be more confident. Entertaining and romantic, even a little educating for young men. I liked the actors and the humour. The main plot is nothing new but it's made differently.
However, I found the break-up scene unnecessarily violent. I thought gender equality meant equal rights? But apparently, it's legitimate for a woman to floor a man with kicks and punches over a break-up.

It's a new French Netflix movie; the plot is passable and the actors are decent; Mickaël Lumière deserves much more recognition.

The theme of getting out of the friendzone sounds great on the surface, and it could have been a really funny RomCom if done right, but his group of girl friends that the ML hangs around with comes up with a ridiculous method to get out of the friendzone with a girl that he really likes. He meets the girl he fell in love with at first sight on the beach at a bachelorette party of his girl friends he hangs around with; the girls all go in after skinny dipping and after they leave he skinny dips on by himself. The pool boy comes along to close up and takes his clothes leaving him stark naked in the ocean. Low and behold, a woman appears dressed in a bath suit to swim but she steps on a venomous fish and needs rescuing. He rescues her naked, takes her to her room; they end up friends but he actually fell in love with her as they had so much in common. So this is how it begins which was cute, but when his friends start concocting ways to get him out of the friendzone is when the script gets ridiculous, overthetop, unlike him, not good. Short movie.

Three girls help their good guy friend to win his love. The movie is predictable but it's good for a weekend watch. Overall, 'Friendzone' is a frothy, feel-good, romance that does not need much thinking.

Good actors, ill served by the script. I've tried to write TWO honest reviews, however they were both declined so I'll leave it at that.

A pretty basic romantic comedy with some good moments but really nothing astounding. The movie follows the recipe and takes no real risk. It's still an okay watch, but nothing more.

From the beginning to the end a total cliche. Bad script, decent acting but not recommending.

Loved the movie, great music, loved the actor. It's a little predictable like any other rom-com but in general it makes you smile, what else do we need?
Sweet pediatric nurse Thibault "Titi" always seems to get friendzoned by girls that he likes. After meeting Rose and the pattern repeating, his three closest friends help him become a new more mysterious man...exercise, dancing, enigmatic conversation...and he is ready to approach Rose again, only now she is back with her unfaithful boyfriend.
This is a short happily ever after romantic comedy and it moves swiftly through it's story. The best part was it's unexpected chase scene...I actually gasped, I was so surprised.
If you are looking for light fare and don't mind subtitles, this might be for you.

It's supposed to be a feel-good movie, but sadly it is not. Actors are doing good job, but the story is lost somewhere before production. The best character is probably the influencer woman, because entire movie feels like it was sponsored by some social network: all glitter on the surface and no substance at all. While flashy clothing, parties and evening events are presented okay, the job of the nurses seems like nothing in this movie which is insulting to real professionals who can barely lift their hands at the end of their shift. The spirit of carelessness is fake in this one and it's clear that we're looking at shallow facade.
No character depth, no development, no chemistry, no background.

Although it was predictable from start to finish, but it was done almost right. The typical rom-com, who follows the hero's journey to improve himself to get the girl & overcoming every obstacle in his way. This maybe sounds bad but I did like the movie, it got heart, good music, not much Paris...
The major missed opportunities were the support characters, a whole bunch with almost zero impact on the story.
The humor was alright, not the most interesting aspect of the movie, but at times was noticeable.
The romance appeared at the start and disappeared until the last minutes, so I wouldn't call it a romance movie Recommend to watch.

It's so absurd, beyond the magical French absurdism that can make French films lovely and appreciable. There is an agenda behind this that is just ridiculous. It just feels very propagandist. . . France has great absurdist films that you can enjoy. But this is absolutely arrogant in its delivery. A healthy man must have a healthy set of male friends (or father figure) to know what it means to be strong but gentle, responsible but free to speak, firm but generous in the interpretation of other people's actions... take complete accountability for actions (no matter how hard it is to do so) that may have been emotionally initiated, instead of rationalizing it endlessly and using empathy as an excuse.

The plot is really simple but nice, a good movie to watch if you're looking for a little love story, but it could be much better if the actor playing titi wasn't SO bad, the other characters are great but his acting is so bad it's distracting.
They lost me as soon as they talked and it was dubbed over English. Can't stand words that don't match lip movement! I figured it would be cliche but didn't watch long enough to find out!! Wish they'd stop putting this stuff on Netflix!!

Many reviewers focus on how the main character has been played, Thibault (Titi) Galand (in French, galant with a "t" stands for courteous, also used in English but not by many). I watched the movie twice - very enjoyable each time - and I can say that the real discovery is Eva Danino in the role of Rose.
She is incredibly expressive, something not seen in the French films since Catherine Deneuve. Eva Danino transmits emotion - and in the right proportion - in every scene.
I consider that she might be a new star of the French film and I am eager to watch her soon in another movie, on Netflix.

The characters are very well-built, it's funny, not too cliche (ok just a little bit, but it didn't feel like I already saw this movie. It still felt original).
The cast, especially the actor of Titi, are all great and I enjoyed the movie very much.

On a classic subject, sentimental education, the movie brings a lot of freshness and humor. It's very happy and that feels good. A special mention for the casting. Each actor has charm and perfectly embodies his character. Thank you for this little moment of pleasure.

Classic rom-com (the impossible love, the betrayal, the twist), with a French vibe that is definitely interesting; an overall very funny movie with almost "real-life" acting.
